How many threads do we need about your Shedeur Sanders? Ask yourself why you are rooting against a young man that you don’t know? Can you imagine what it must be like to be Deion’s son or Prime’s son? The kid has a dad who literally plays a character. Deion is akin to a professional wrestler that may not know where the persona ends and the man begins. Growing up around that kind of mental theater would make any young man a bit odd.

Black people acting like Shadeur is the first black QB is one of the more bizarre things to happen in recent memory

Its simply the Michael Brown-OJ-George Floyd effect.

If they perceive something as white-supported that runs up against something "black", they will automatically take the opposing side.

The first athlete I can remember who had the boastful bombast we see today was Muhammed Ali. Except Ali did it with a wink and twinkle in his eye knowing you knew it was done for the sake of theater and gamesmanship.

Somewhere along the way running your mouth (usually loudly) became real talk, full of narcissistic egotism. And now it's seemingly become a staple of black culture completely on full display daily on ESPN. It's pathetic. A clown show that's trickled down to every jackoff with a megaphone or a platform. frick 'em.

Who is “they”… I take it you’re referring to us “Black People”… I don’t think that’s it … it’s the LeBron effect … most Black people could care less it’s the detractors that bring the most attention to said person with their over the top criticisms.., you gotta admit it’s a certain type that go out of their way to hate any and everything certain people do…

Yes and you've missed his...

The over the top attention is what makes people defensive. This isn't a black person trait it's a people trait because everyone whether white. black, hispanic, etc.. all do this.

I don’t think this is true and I think the fact that you compared Shedeur to LeBron proves it. LeBron is literally a generational talent. Shedeur was a 5th round pick. Black folk were calling the NFL racists because Shedeur wasn’t drafted when they thought he should be.

So it’s more the Lamar effect. You have a Qb who is extremely popular among black folk because they somehow vicariously relate to him, and because of their emotional attachment to him they interpret any criticism as racism regardless of the actual evidence.

Black folk still think Lamar is “hated by the media” even though the same media has awarded him a Heisman and 2 MVP’s. So, the only thing he’s ever “won” was given to him by the media. A 5th round pick not getting practice reps is racism, despite the fact that the same franchise gave another black qb the first market setting fully guaranteed contract.

(And I’m black)

So he couldn’t just be a good QB???..

See that’s the thing .., folks take a few people saying something “they” believe as what “ Black Folks” believe

In the context of what’s going in Cleveland… such as having a rookie starter and rookie backup…. It would make sense for the backup to get “some” snaps in practice.., especially when the starter isn’t playing great.. makes football sense

Ok … and???

Dude spews a word salad at a royal level:
quote:

"So I'm never comfortable in a situation I'm in. I always want to exceed expectations, and I always want to grow in each and every week, I would want to put a better product of myself, be a better version of myself for the team to be out there."

Are we sure he isn't the son of Meghan Markel (who is easily old enough to be his mother) and who (as Prince Harry's wife) can spew a word salad for half an hour and leave an audience wondering wth she meant to say.

Why are you asking me? I’m not the one with a Messianic view of him.

You’re one to talk:

most Black people could care less

No, it wouldn’t. There are limited reps during the week. A rookie needs as many reps as possible. Plus, the only reason you have that opinion is because of Shedeur.

Ok … and???

You felt the need to mention you were black:

I take it you’re referring to us “Black People
