5-7 since the All-star break.

You would have thought they were the best team in the league listening to talking heads during the all-star break. LeBron gives some good highlight videos doesn't he though?

I hope nobody really thought this. If Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr, and Rodney Hood are your map to a title, you're fricked.

i don't know what you guys are all celebrating the death of the Cavs this year, but to me this all but assures them, not only a spot representing the east in the NBA Finals, but a MUCH better crack at the warriors than what they had before.

literally every guy they got are players that insiders covet around the league.

the cavs got younger, taller, longer, more athletic, more energy and better shooting today. IT was short and injured. Shumpert can't shoot and was off injured. Wade is crotchety old man glory play and can't shoot 3s. Frye is old. Crowder thrived in a Brad Stevens system and was slow and unmotivated on D. And Rose? R.I.P.

hill is 6'3 and LONG. he was really good in Utah just last year (no one is good in sacramento). he's a good defender and good three point shooter. he is a HUGE upgrade defensively over any point guard previously on the roster.

Clarkson is 6'5. he's an offensive minded player. think of him as a like a taller version of IT with length.

Hood is a knockdown shooter at 6'8. He's also a capable defender. he's been REALLY good when healthy at Utah.

Nance is undersized for the 4, but makes up for it with energy and athleticism.

so add that to Korver and JR and now the cavs have switchable, 3 point shooting perimeter players, who defend way better. the cavs are gonna run some crazy small ball lineups. Four out or Five out. Lebron at Center (Draymond style). And then when Kevin Love comes back, Lebron will be at the 4.

a lineup of Hill, Hood, Korver, Lebron and Love is definitely beating everyone except the Warriors. so you heard it hear first. Cavs will take a minute to gel, then start scoring 120 points a game on people.

I’m not listening or watching any of those, but I watch the NBA on TV quite a bit and literally have never heard someone call them the best team in the NBA since those trades

Several guys said they would probably beat the Rockets IF the Rockets made it to the finals. I know for a FACT I heard that getting thrown around.

I never said anyone outright said such things on a major sports news outlet...it was the hype surrounding them that made it seem as though they were far better than what we see them to be right now...which is mediocre. It was a simple exaggeration for effect to contrast what the hype was vs what reality has become.

Yikes. There’s a lot of people disagreeing in there though. I still think the Cavs are favorites to win the east just because Lebron

To be fair, beating Boston and okc back to back was their high point of the season

This is why Lebron wants no part of a 1-16 playoff seeding.

He'd be a 1 and done

They were better before the trades all meh players added. If they woulda gave IT more time we can see that he woulda been a force come playoff time.
