It means something, but an 11-5 team should be able to beat a 7-9 team, regardless of where it's played

By this logic, let's let all of the teams with worse records host, since the teams with the better records should be able to beat them anyway.

You know what's even better?

Not only do the 49ers have 3 more wins than the Packers--THEY BEAT THE PACKERS HEAD TO HEAD THIS YEAR.

Which is part of the problem. Why reward a 7-9 team with a home game, and punish a better team by making them travel?

if you can't beat a 7-9 team on the road, you shouldn't be in the playoffs

It's idiotic to complain about or try to change a system because of a glitch that happens very infrequently.

The NFC West has 3 teams with 10 or more wins while the NFC North has 0 teams with more than 8 wins.

You do realize Aaron Rodgers missed seven games this year, right?

Pathetic that someone is still complaining about losing to a 7-9 team when they would have had to face 2 supposedly much better teams on the road.

When the season starts you win your division you're in. Everyone knows the rules . If not you get a 2nd chance with the wild card(now wild card teams are demanding home games).

If the Saints can't beat a 7-9 team on the road what the hell makes you think they will, beat a 13-3 or 14-2 division winner?

You are SOOOOOO Stupid... The Saints are a team that plays better at home... They are NOT a team that plays well in the elements..... FACT... Should have they BEAT a 7-9 Seattle team??? Sure... BUT its the NFL..... Parity EVERYWHERE..........

Then they should have won their division

No. The better team (7-9 Seattle) won.

If the Saint's were much better than that Seattle team they should have won .

This isn't college where the better team is subjective. The NFL does it on the field & the Seahawks won.

If the Saints can't beat a 7-9 team on the road what the hell makes you think they will, beat a 13-3 or 14-2 division winner?

1. I love system as is, they just need to apply this to the draft order where Green Bay will be picking AHEAD of San Fran and NOLA

2. You clearly don't watch NFL Football

3. The Saints trounced Seattle earlier that season. It's called an upset for a reason.

I don't think its a very infrequent occurrence.

And also, its not idiotic at all if there is a simple solution to something you admit is a glitch.

Why not fix the glitch, no matter how rare it is when the solution is an easy fix?

It's fine as is. It's not a glitch.

They also played the entire NFC South, which featured 2 11-win teams.

The North played the East, which featured one team with a winning record.

It's the perfect system. You don't get rewarded for doing well in a weak division. Green Bay's success is relative to their division, not to everyone else's records. You can't directly compare records unless every team played every other team.

It's pretty high-level logic so I understand when most people don't get it

San Francisco played 7 games against teams with 10 or more wins.

Green Bay played 2. One of them was against San Francisco. And they lost both.

Green Bay played one other team with a winning record. They lost that one too.

I understand that.
