Amendola and Walker on that team would've been overkill with Gronk + Hernandez

That's what I said in the other thread. I highly doubt Kraft would waste that money on two slot WRs when you need another WR on the outside

Patriots have been notoriously cheap with their premier players.

Not always. Gave Wilfork a great long-term deal, same with Mankins, Gronkowski, Hernandez ...

Brady is under contract through 2017, and Gronk, Hernandez and Amondela are all there for at least that long.

Welker missed 3 games in 6 years with Pats..... Also came back from knee injury to have a couple really good seasons....

Possible that the Pats picked Amendola over Welker last week (thus Welker getting pissed) but trying to avoid a PR disaster by offering Welker a contract they knew he would turn down so it would look like he betrayed them or something like that (which obviously didnt work at all)

And Amendola has missed more games over the past 2 seasons than he has played in.

Oh and Manning can't beat the Pats, we're his Florida when he was in college. Pure ownership.

Doesn't Peyton having a winning record against the Pats since like 04, including a win in the only playoff game?

Welker also had the benefit of sustaining his season-ending injury in Week 17, which means he did not actually "miss" any games due to that injury, whereas had he sustained that very same injury in Week 1, he would have missed 15 games that season. Timing plays a big role in the games-missed category.

OK, and he's only missed 3 regular games his entire career. Meanwhile, Danny Amendola has missed 20 the past 2 years, and 22 in his career. He's injury prone and it'll be a miracle if he doesn't miss at least 1 game this next season.

That plan probably works pre-internet era. Welker might be a Boston Villain if it were in the 90s

The reason he didn't miss many games is because he tore his ACL and mcl late in the season. Against the Texans I think.

Again, Welker tears his ACL and MCL and does not technically miss one regular season game because of it. Very misleading "stat" sometimes.

Cool beans, NTTiger.

He came back damn near 100% and hasn't missed a beat since. He also doesn't typically get injured and miss extended time.

Arguing whether one guy will or wont get hurt is stupid. You cant say for certainty either will happen so its a fruitless argument

Well hey... If Peterson tears his knee in the offseason last year never happens.....

If Brady injured his knee in last game Cassell is never with the Chiefs.....

This is a fun game
