I don't think it can overstated how shitty NBC's coverage was.

I'm old. As a force of habit this morning I flipped on ABC looking for the British Open...expecting to see Jim McKay setting the scene.

And then we got Peter Aliss somewhere along the way, right? Great stuff.

And Johnny trying to explain the square footage of a green was hilarious.

Because I enjoy Spieth not having as much talent as Rory Day and DJ while simultaneously being WAY more successful than them.

First of all, Rory has more majors. But, I wouldn't say they're more talented. Jordan is by far a better putter and scrambler than them. He may not have the long ball, but he has more talent than them in other areas so it evens it out and often puts him ahead.

I went on Saturday, sat next to some baws from SEC country in the 18th green grandstand.

Speiths birdie putt at 18was magical, but the highlight was following Fowler and Garcia for a bit and seeing the tee shot Fiwler played for his eagle at 5, unbelievable.

The Garcia/Koepka/Spieth pairing at the PGA will be the ultimate jizzfest for this board

two of my favorites to follow at the byron and colonial. both interact with fans a lot, especially during practice rounds.

After Jordan's first major he said, "In the end I want to be known for what I do off the course, not for on the course."

He gives to countless charities, spends hours signing autographs, and you never hear him drop an expletive on the course.
He is by far my favorite player.

And -5 in four holes, back 9, final round of a major? My goodness!

Geaux Jordan!

They would flip to BBC coverage for a few minutes every year too. It was great stuff.

Rory and DJ are the two most talented players in the world. The thing is, it's not always about talent. It's about who gets hot and when. DJ has been the hottest player in the world the last two years. Rory got hot at the end of last season. Spieth is hot now. We saw the same thing with Jason Day and Spieth two years ago.

I don't even know where to start.

But DJ and Rory, noticeably....NOTICEABLY have more talent. Day does as well.

I know Rory has more majors. He'll end his career with less majors than Jordan.

Spieth doesn't have more talent than them in other areas. His amazing putting year has in turn made his putting overrated af. They have more talent from 550 out and from 120 out.

ETA: Spieth just happens to be a better golfer than them.

What you just said makes no sense man. You've transferred the whole "football player" argument thing to golf.

no, they really don't. jordan is arguably a better iron player than all three, undoubtedly a better scrambler and a better putter.

if all you use to quantify talent is hitting the long ball, then the most "talented" players are on the remax tour or whatever it's called now. Hell, I can outdrive Spieth, doesn't mean i've got more talent.

Spieth was lacing drives this past week, he ran some up to nearly 350. He's not DJ, but it's a myth that he's Zach Johnson short or something like that. He's got some pop, but generally goes for a slower more precise swing, hence why he doesn't put a lot of drives OB.
