Damn it's getting busy. Schefter was out of breath on espn.

Glad we held on Dre. He really improved last year.

I've got a feeling the Pats are about to get some picks for Jimmy G.

Apparently this type of trade violates one of the many "unwritten rules" in the NFL

Lombardi tweeted that people were pissed about the Bradford trade last year, and this is even more aggregious

Many in the NFL were upset at the Bradford trade this summer, believing that was a cash for draft pick deal. This deal is way more obvious

There's no such thing as an unwritten rule, imo.

Either make it expressly against the rules or frick off

Tell that to the Cowboys and Redskins, and to a lesser extent the Saints and Raiders, for treating the uncapped year like an uncapped year.

LINK
quote:

While the 2010 season was an uncapped year, the NFL told teams not to use that as a means of eating up portions of long-term contracts in order to reduce cap room in future years. The Redskins and Cowboys and, to a lesser extent, the Raiders and Saints, were found to have done just this. As a result, not only do they lose this money, but every NFL team other than Oakland and New Orleans gets an additional $1.6 million in cap room. (The Saints and Raiders aren't docked any cap room, they just don't get to share in what the Redskins and Cowboys have to give back.)

And to think, even with this evidence, the NFLPA couldn't win a collusion suit against the NFL because the NFLPA released all known and unknown claims in the CBA.

This report out of Cleveland says the Patriots won't trade Garoppolo to the Browns unless they get No. 1 overall.

Jesus I hope that's a bluff. Unless they plan on holding onto him past Brady. Which doesn't seem feasible
