Not a winning streak, but LSU hasn’t returned a kickoff for a TD at home since 1981.

So in the 21st century LSU has returned more FGs for TDs than kickoffs in Tiger Stadium.

That's crazy and with the way kickoffs are done these days we may not see one again.

I think Dontae Jackson had a KO return for TD called back by penalty in 2016.

Derius Guice returned on back to the A&M 20 yard line but didn’t score in 2015.

LSU has had many KO returns for TD on the road, but just no luck at home.

And what’s most interesting is that the quarterback Chuck Ealey was 35-0 with them.. correct me if I’m wrong but I believe he’s the only quarterback to go undefeated over his entire career (covering multiple seasons.)

I know this was NAIA at the time, but Texas A&I (now Texas A&M-Kingsville) has a qb named Richard Ritchie that went 39-0 during his tenure with the Javelinas. They won 3 straight national titles.

Fun fact: he also was qb for A&I when they went out to Hawaii to play for the opening game in Aloha Stadium. A&I killed Hawaii 43-9.

We've returned kickoffs for Tds, just not at home. Very weird.

Saw back to back KOs returned for touchdowns in the 95 Indy Bowl with a certain sub 6’0 coach roaming the Sparty sidelines

Not to change the subject of the thread, but I’m pretty sure Donte Jackson scored like 3 TDs and they were all called back for penalties

KU has won 29 straight conference openers and 36 straight senior night games.

Both very random but very impressive.

Frank lauterbur coached them for the unbeaten seasons in 69 and 70. He took the iowa job and failed miserably, going 0-11 in his final season. Jack Murphy coached them to an undefeated season in 1971. He stayed with Toledo a few more years and was fairly mediocre

It took a global plague to bring you back to TD, and I think it’s worth it.

Not a winning streak, but nobody started a losing streak thread. The 1988 Baltimore Orioles lost their first 21 games of the season. Ended up 16 back in the division.

16’-17’ Columbus Blue Jackets 17 game winning streak. 2nd longest in NHL history.

2017 Cleveland Indians winning 22 straight games. The longest win streak in AL history.

As I said in a previous post, OU's streak will never be beaten.

It's funny how Miami's and USC's streak were back to back.

But back to OU...lets say USC doesn't lose that Triple OT game to Cal in 2003...they're still 10 games shy of OU's record...an entire season basically...

What's funny about Oklahoma's streak is the last game they lost before the streak was to fricking Santa Clara. Santa Clara had lost to Cal the week before 41-19.

Santa Clara then beat Kentucky in the 1950 Orange Bowl.

A Kentucky team that then beat Oklahoma in the 1951 Sugar Bowl to end their streak.

So Oklahoma's streak began after a loss to Santa Clara, ended with a loss to Kentucky and in between Santa Clara beat Kentucky.

So Santa Clara > Kentucky > Oklahoma

They lost by 1 point to ND.

And then beat ND two weeks later by 20 points.

They lost to NC State in 2OTs in the National Semifinal by 3 points.

Then blew out Kansas in the Consolation game.
