The most nauseating part of the Michigan Debacle is the way The MAC & WMU bent the knee

They were terrified to speak Truth to Power and jeopardize the annual windfall from their Golden Goose.
A bunch of 2nd Tier Recruits busted their butts all summer preparing for this game.
Then they go into Ann Arbor and actually pull it off.
And when they get totally F'd over by the replay official their School & Conference bends the knee.

That’s why I said gamblers would have to get involved.

Can’t blame them. Everyone is looking to get called up to the big time. Don’t want to rock the boat
Newsflash: big time college sports only exist for money. Multibillion dollar TV dollars and coaches getting paid millions isn’t about school spirit or sense of community

They are happy to go-along to ensure those checks keep flowing. If WMU started to raise hell then higher-end schools may think twice about paying them to go lose

Let's say they went the other route....besides pounding a table and yelling this is bullshite to the media postgame: What is their next option?

Asking the MAC to sue the Big Ten? Maybe the coaches were louder behind the scenes and tried to keep it professional for the cameras immediately after the game. They might have pushed harder off camera for a fix and been shut down.

You're the retard if you don't realize that WMU &The MAC accepted that BS "explanation" because they didn't want to jeopardize future Big10 games/paydays.

The MAC plays on week nights in November in horrible weather for money that they need probably to keep programs afloat. No way they would rock the boat. They can't afford to have the annual Big Ten-MAC challenge canceled because they ripped the Big Ten and refused to play along.

I always laugh when the northern folks rip the SEC for playing cupcakes the week before rivalry week. Why does it matter whether you play a cupcake or in Week 1, 2, 3, 4 or 13?

Saw a tweet that explained the situation. All of these MAC administrators and coaches dream of getting a big 10 job someday.

They aren't interested in taking on the corrupt clique they are hopeful that one day they can join it.

Playing Big10 teams keeps their whole conference afloat.

There are valid reasons to play cupcakes now. There aren’t at the business end of the season
