No shite, and at the end of the day P&G makes a metric frickton of it. That's money out of the owners pockets that got pulled today. There isn't another P&G they can call up to pay for ads. P&G on the other hand, has numerous other options for that ad cash that will likely be just as effective.

We heard similar statements about Sterling. I'd say it's a coin flip right now.

You can't seriously compare this to Goodell.

I'd say it's a coin flip right now. If media pressure stays high, more companies will follow P&G then owner support will dry up.

It's not a coin flip... What some don't seem to understand is these owners and Goodell are like family to each other. Additionally, the owners are not going to be pushed around by the media manipulating public opinion. If they were to let Goodell go, it would mean the media has bigger hand on the product.

The owners believe in their product and they believe in Goodell, which they should. Just keep that in mind while your listening to all these ESPN blowhards creating this circus over what amounts to jack shite.

at the end of the day Goodell is nothing more than hired help to the majority of the owners.

I totally agree with you. But I will say that Proctor and Gamble pulling sponsorship is a pretty big shot across the bow.

Simply admitted that he screwed up badly with the Rice situation. People can be pretty forgiving when someone sincerely apologizes and takes responsibility for a frickup.

I agree with you. The media is hammering him. The public hates him even more. He looked horrible. He needs to go before he does any more damage to the NFL.

No, no he's not.

He's their bad guy, the guy that takes the heat off the owners when times get tough... The owners know what they're getting with Goodell, they're comfortable with him, and they don't want to rock the boat any more. They don't have better options waiting in the wings and they know it.
