I agree - just saying that it's nowhere near as bad as he's making it out to be, and that OU's 90s run is just as bad (if not worse) as the past decade for Nebraska
This is just ridiculous. They’ve had 6 straight losing seasons. OU had 3 in the decade you reference, and also won a national title in the 2000 season.
I know you want it to be true, but you’ll have to go to Nebraska to find someone that agrees with you.

But they’ve been nationally irrelevant for 20 years straight.
We'll just have to agree to disagree on that. I say they've been irrelevant for the past decade, just as OU was during the 90s.

Nebraska hasn't started truly sucking until 2017 - less than a decade
Then OU didn't suck for the entire 90s using your own logic.

OU won a title in the 2000 season and came off a series of monster sanctions in that decade. Laughable you keep making this comparison.
Nebraska last 20 seasons
Major Bowl Invitations: 0
AP preseason Top 25 Rankings: 10
Final AP Top 10 Teams: 0
Seasons w/losing record: 9
Bowl Record: 6-8
Best Bowl Wins: Alamo / Holiday / Gator
Consensus AA: 3
First Round Draft Picks: 4
Now let’s do Iowa over the last 20 seasons, a decidedly tier 2-3 program:
Major Bowl Invitations: 3
AP preseason Top 25 Rankings: 9
Final AP Top 10 Teams: 5
Seasons w/losing record: 2
Bowl Record: 9-9
Best Bowl Wins: Orange / Citrus / Outback / Holiday
Consensus AA: 14
First Round Draft Picks: 11
Do Wisconsin and it will look even worse

Texas gets way too much credit credit for spending decades in an extremely weak conference they racked up wins in. It was true to a lesser extent of Oklahoma and Nebraska but at least they played each other every year.

You're probably right, but by the same token, you'd be hard-pressed to find any CFB expert who doesn't consider Nebraska to be a blue blood.

you could squeeze lsu in there because of 3 nattys this century. peripheral teams like tennessee and pennst. the three florida schools would be a little outside of that.
the difference with lsu and the florida schools is that lsu has always been a solid program except for the 90s. goergia is closing in too.
would put the order from number 9 onward as
9 - lsu
10 - uga
11 - tenn
12 - pennst
13 - miami
14 - uf
15 - fsu
could flip around 10 - 12 and 13 - 15, but lsu is number 9.
before all the hating starts, i'm not an lsu fan at all.
for the top 8 i would put
1 - bama
2 - ou
3 - usc
4 - osu
5 - Notre Dame
6 - texas
7 - nebraska
8 - michigan
could flip around 3 - 5 and 6 - 8, but bama is 1 and ou is 2.

Texas gets way too much
Texas is the weakest of the 8 blue bloods. They get a bigger pass than Nebraska. Should be Penn State in there over Texas.

Established in 1887, Penn State is No. 7 all-time in wins with 919 victories and 13 undefeated seasons (1887, 1894, 1909, 1911, 1912, 1920, 1921, 1947, 1968, 1969, 1973, 1986 and 1994) and 52 appearances in college bowl games.

Penn State played even weaker schedules than Texas for decades and have had essentially no success outside of 1 coach. If they’re in, LSU is in.

People saying look at the last 20 years are fricking retarded. Nebraska been a powerhouse since the fricking 1900s they could suck for another 3 decades straight and they would still be a blue blood

You're thinking modern LSU. LSU like Alabama played most of their history against just white dudes...if we're talking about weak schedules.
SEC was not the juggernaut it is today. Which is why Bama owned it but would always lose OOC.
50s, 60s, 70s it was known as one of the weaker Conferences until integration finally became the norm.

Whoop, there it is.

LSU may not be a blood. But does it even matter. Being a blue blood means nothing.
Brian Kelly just left a blue blood to come to LSU, because he believes he has a better chance to win here, and not at ND.

LSU has had success under a lot of different coaches. If you really want to get into it we can, but there’s essentially no argument for Penn State that wouldnt also apply to LSU.

LSU and Penn State are similar. Penn State has more all time wins but LSU has played tougher teams more frequently than Penn State.

So you’re saying the SEC has been a strong conference for 50 seasons? Lolz
Also, do you realize the variance of SEC national champions in the 50s and 60s? Bama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and Ole Miss all won championships. What other conference can claim that over any 20 year span? Oh, wait, it’s the SEC, who did it again from 1992 - 2012 (Bama, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn).
Is having five different national champions in a 20 year span a sign of a “weak conference?”
Also, do you think there were black dudes all over the field in the B1G in the 1960s? Lolz plz.
Here is a pic of the 1967 Buckeyes. Lily white. 7 black players.
In sum, GTFO with this weak shite.

Those 7 on the '67 OSU team are more than the entire SEC that year.
