I thought we agreed you were done on this subject…

Terrible comparison.

A conditioned claiming race does not equal the derby.

I meant the actual Derby race itself, but yes you are correct on the other races.

A claiming race is still fun for the average fan. Kinda like watching guys who will miss the cut or are a bunch of strokes down on the weekend.

But the comparison here is the derby vs the masters.

Not the masters vs the 3 (I think?) meets they run a year at Churchill.

He included the par 3 tournament at the Masters when he said the Masters last seven days. Anyways I think we can agree that the derby festivities at least last for all of derby week.

And yet, left out that week's Putt-Putt championship. What an elitist.

Biggest golf tournament in the world vs. biggest horse race in the world...

Just depends if you love golf and portable restrooms or betting on the ponies and cocktails.

Not in person. I’ve been to a lot of sporting events, and there is nothing like it

I went once in the early 2000s and never saw a live horse. The party was pretty good, but it rained the entire night before and then was hot on Derby Day, so an absolute swamp.

Never been to Augusta, but give me that.
