I would go Masters. The KD isn’t even the premier horse race (that would be the Breeders Cup), and I don’t give a shite about pageantry.

The Derby is watched by way more people than the Breeder's Cup. I think it's higher on the food chain (to horsemen) than the Breeder's Cup Classic as well....it definitely is amongst the general public.

Only because the older horses run too. Saying the BCC is better than than the Derby is like saying the FedEx Cup playoffs is better than the Masters.

the breeders cup is better for juveniles, if you are still running at 4 as a male horse, your stud prospects are probably minimal

One is restricted and runs for 3 million. The other isn’t restricted, so you truly do get the best of the best (that haven’t been broken yet) for 6 million…

My family is from Nelson County on one side and historically was very involved with Saddlebreds (this ended nearly a hundred years ago). I doubt there are any horses in Nelson County anymore.
