The CFP committee is disturbingly dumb

The committee is so f’ed up. So, these guys throw the first 12 weeks of the season out the window AND ignore the fact that FSU’s back-up will be back for the playoffs by focusing on FSU’s offensive performance against Louisville with a 3rd string QB per the quote above.

so the guy that won't even take a snap in the playoffs is why they picked Alabama?

They can’t be this stupid. I refuse to believe they really thought the third string was the QB going forward. The second string Rodemaker would’ve had a month to prepare for the playoff. It’s fricked up what they did to FSU. If the roles were reversed you know damn fricking well they wouldn’t have taken bama out of the top 4. I hate that school with a fricking passion and anyone pulling for them is an idiot.

You need to go in the other thread and see Rizer's response. FSU doesn't have the resume of Bama or Texas. The cumulative win-loss records of their opponents, the quality of the CCG wins, and the quality of the CCG opponents says all that needs to be said.

It's all just made up pretext bullshite at this point. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

They managed to neither get the best four or the most-deserving four. “disturbingly dumb” is well put

They are so full of shite. Here is what happened in the committee: OK, we have to put Alabama in. Oh, but Texas beat Alabama. We have to put Texas in. OK, so what criteria can we use to exclude one of the other three? Michigan cheated, but there was no adjudication of that, so probably not. Washington didn't do anything wrong and their star QB is still playing. Wait, check out this part where we say we will take injuries into consideration. FSU-5th.

They're not dumb; they're corrupt. No way does any other SEC team get in if they were in Bama's position.

I would love to hear this explanation. Texas and Bama are well within reasonable and rational arguments for most deserving and best.

You mean if say UGA had 1 loss in the regular season and beats Bama in the SEC CCG? UGA would get in over FSU in that scenario, too. The level of irrational derangement over this decision is laughable.

That’s definitely not true vs Texas. Texas beat Alabama but FSU gave LSU a beat down. Those wins were comparable. Beyond that, both had 3 wins over the Top 25 and 5 over P5 teams with winning records. The only real difference in schedule strength is Texas’ game against Oklahoma that they lost. To make an argument that Texas has a stronger resume, you have to argue that Texas should get in based on a loss to Oklahoma.

Who decided offense is more important than defense? Georgia the last two years were elite on defense.

Georgia is arguably the 2nd best team in the country. them not being in means not "the best 4"
an undefeated Power 5 team just got left out.
and their SoS is extremely similar to Michigan, who was voted #1.
so "most deserving" didn't happen either.

Texas only got in because “injured QB” was a more convenient excuse than trying to justify the head to head. If UGA beats Bama, FSU is in over Texas.

Purposeful run on sentence…
FSU schedules an OOC LSU as an opening top 10 matchup and then goes on to finish undefeated in the ACC, win their conference championship with a third string freshman QB (who will not play in bowl) and doesn’t have the resume to make the playoff over a team who lost big to Texas and a week prior had to have a miracle to get past a lowly unranked Auburn.

And Bama beat them when it mattered.
Michigan went undefeated beating Ohio State, Penn St, and Iowa. FSU doesn't have that resume no matter how hard anybody tries to say otherwise.

Yes this is a fricked up situation. I truly believe the media and college football changed the narrative to allow for this to happen two weeks ago when Travis got hurt. They were hoping Bama beat Georgia to bounce them up from 8 to 4, which had never been done before. This gave them a reason, not being a good one, to do it. Should have been Michigan, Washington, Florida St and Texas. The pandering to Bama and Saban by college football is sickening.

bla bla bla
who would win head to head? Bama vs FSU with their backup qb?

Honestly it’s extremely unfair to the other 100 plus kids on that roster who busted their arse all summer and during the season to get shut out. Booger basically said the same thing yesterday. Just insanity, but that’s the type of world we live in. Nothing shocks me anymore.
