It seems like every year one conference is too highly rated in the metrics they use for college hoops. Example, TCU this year in non conference played 2 teams in the top 100 (69 Clemson and 67- Nevada) and lost them both. Their top 3 non conference W’s are 115- Az St, 169 - Hawaii, and 194- Georgetown. Right now they are a 500 team in league play (8-7) and somehow they are a lock for the tournament- doesn’t make sense to me.

Better than the B1G sending a bunch of teams to underachieve again.

It’s a fair position

The big ten does get a lot of high seeds and hasn’t won a title since 2000

Outside of Purdue and Illinois this year, the big ten looks rather underwhelming

Oklahoma shouldn’t get in. This team has no identity. They can’t win against good teams. I’d rather someone with a pulse get in instead of OU taking a spot just because they play in a tough conference.

They have 5 teams with 20 wins and 3 with 19. Texas would be the 9th team getting in with 18 as we stand.
They added Houston, BYU, Cincinnati and UCF this year.
14 team league and only 2 teams have losing records and it may have only been one team with a losing record and 10 teams getting in if Huggins hadn't been busted for a DUI in Pittsburgh at 11am. He had a really good team set up. Not the team that the interim coach had to scrap together after they all transferred.

Manipulating the NET

Watch that video. It explains why the Big 12 is overrated but appears so strong

Big 12 is the best conference, without a doubt, because their bottom teams are so much better than the bottom teams in other conferences.

Purdue will flop early in the tournament as they always do. Their guards get overwhelmed in the tournament every year. The one team they've had that made a good run lately was the team that had Carsen Edwards go completely apeshit.

2 things. Guess the NET only applies to Big 12 teams? Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

And, maybe the Clemson coach should concentrate on getting his team ready for the next game and not worry about another conference?

Talk about a put up or shut up moment ( and then you turn around and lose to bad Notre Dame team).

The issue for Purdue, Iowa State, and Houston is going to be officiating. Conference officials call games one way, but the tournament is a different animal. For Purdue, if officials call it a looser, the opponent will hack Edey and take away that advantage (Purdue leads the country in free throw differential by a large margin). Houston and Iowa State are extremely physical defensive teams, and the Big 12 lets them play that way. If they get a crew who calls a tighter game, they could struggle.
