The Bengals are spending the 8th most amount of money on their 53 man roster this season.

Still a separation between owners that spend and owners that don’t. Restructuring can be very useful if you have an owner that spends.

Feels like they are putting all their eggs on Burrow and the WRs to drag them into the playoffs.

And they can if they can stay healthy. It's a big if. Burrow and Higgins have battled injuries the past few years, but when all 3 are on the field, they're a handful. It sucks they just missed out last season. They were on fire.

The Saints hit on every pick in the 17 draft. Would should have the Saints not signed over him? Alvin? Ram? Lattimore?

You let a rb go over a pass rusher 10/10 times.

Here we go before season starts again why it’s always someone else fault. Burrow and Chase got paid- go win games. Otherwise shut the frick or give the money back for others to get paid as well.

They don’t give a shite they are paid.

It's hilarious, right? Couldn't happen to a bigger douchebag than Joe Burrow

Benson was super cheap until he got towards the end of his life and wanted to spend money to create his legacy like buying the naming rights to the Hall of Fame field and things like that. He was super cheap in the 80s, 90, and early 2000s poor mouthing the state and letting good players leave the team.

it really is a shame that probably the two greatest players LSU has had in baseball and football are stuck with the two cheapest professional sports organizations on the face of the planet. Both of them deserve to be on championship caliber teams and they’re stuck with pennypinching and general managers owners.

At least Burrow got paid.

I’m not much of a Burrow fan but what a shitty place for him to waste away at.

They might be cheap but are they Pittsburgh Pirates cheap?

I think the Oakland As are the only professional team as cheap as the Pirates.

I’m kinda in this mode.

They don’t owe anyone anything so I don’t blame them for getting everything they could get. With that said when you do that you can’t get upset when the team around you isn’t able to keep up and if you want to win you better do it yourself.

It’s an often used example but Brady didn’t maximize his on field earnings.

I’d argue that by doing so it maximized his off the field earnings given endorsements from being the most well known football player of all time.

"8th amount of money....." How much is tied to only 3 players, Burrow, Chase, & Riggins? Up until recently, the Bengals were the last team in the NFL to have an indoor practice facility & had the smallest scouting dept. in the League .Players were limited to a small, set amount of energy drinks in the team cafeteria. Wentworth went on a rant after leaving the team about how cheap the team was, especially in many petty matters.

Burrow went to bat for Chase and Higgins when he should've realized by doing that they wouldn't also keep TH. Burrow doesn't need 2 great WR's he's good enough to elevate mid level receivers. But hey he'll definitely have great stats. They should've traded Higgins 2yrs ago and gotten a good draft pick.
TH isn't gone yet so maybe he's bluffing and will still play for the Bengals.
