Bench is a big key for sure. This year’s bench was horrendous and that is definitely on AA.

Thinking about it last night and this morning, I would entertain trading Riley as well.

Jackson and Folty should be non tendered. Camargo is on the borderline imo.

I am firmly off the Riley bandwagon

That dude is not the answer at 3rd.

I really want Bauer but I just think we're too cheap to go for it.

- Trade one of Wright/Wilson plus a little change for Lance Lynn

- Re-sign Ozuna

- I'm interested in Brad Peacock and/or Mike Minor for a long man role out the bullpen who can make spot starts. Both should be cheap options.

- Brad Miller and Robbie Grossman would make solid bench options

Playing the Dodgers this series made me envy them for how balanced their team is. Every player except for Rios and Kike can hit for both contact and power efficiently.

I feel like we missed some balanced players in our lineup this year.

Duvall (Power)
Riley (Power)
Camargo (Power)
Markakis (Contact)

The Dodgers used their bench players the right way. They’d pinch hit Ríos or Hernandez late in the game when they needed a quick HR.

I'd like the Braves to check in on Scooter Gennett's interest in playing.

He was a great hitter for a couple of years with the Reds, and then had a groin injury last year that limited him to only 42 games, and he never should have played, as he was not fully healed. That led to some low numbers, and low ball offers in the off season, which he declined. He seems willing to continuing not playing if no one gives him at least 5 million.

He'd be a really good super utility guy who, if he regains his 2018 form now that he's healthy (and still just 30), he could maybe be asked to start at 3rd, if Riley continues to struggle. Don't know if he wants to play anywhere that doesn't guarantee him a starting job, but he seems like an affordable guy who could become a huge bargain.

That an interesting option I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on either.

Losing this series hurt bad

I can't handle another off season of not moving to the World Series

I'm all for resigning Ozuna, buuuut I wouldn't commit to anything past 3 years. He seems like a dude that would turn the intensity down with a long deal. Obviously after this year he will be wanting a long term deal and deserves it, but I just have a bad feeling about signing him to one. Though with the DH now, he might could just be our Big Papi.

Ozuna has always been an intensity guy, did it with Miami and St. Louis.

Granted this was next-level loose from him this season, but I think that had more to do with being in a clubhouse with Ronald and Ozzie.

NLCS winning percentage added.

Markakis 4-16 but had the most high leverage ABs of any player in the series.

I think this is the ultimate litmus test for how commited LM is to winning. We were right there taking the supposed best team in years to the absolute brink but just came up shy. Now is the time for LM to show they want to win, resign Ozuna and sign Bauer.

I think Bauer is a pipe-dream beyond all pipe-dreams, we have an ace coming off injury in Soroka and two potential aces in Fried and Anderson.

While it would be amazing to sign someone like Bauer and immediately give us arguably the best rotation in baseball, we don't necessarily need that, rather just a another quality #2 or #3 arm so we're not forcing a Bryse Wilson, Kyle Wright, Folty or Newcomb type in and expecting them to be anything more than they are.

Jake Odorizzi maybe.

Not gonna put too much stock in that.

Kakes and TdA were obviously letting us down but that same stat also says that Seager decreased the dodger chances by -9.40% lol

I don’t think Bauer is in play either. Stroman, Kluber, Quintana are varying degrees of bounce back candidates that AA seems to like. Ray is always a guy who the peripherals love (similar to Ozuna). Definitely need somebody like that though.

They’ve been connected to Walker, Paxton and Odorizzi in the past as well.

Sign one of those guys to be your #3 or #4, re-sign Ozuna, re-sign all of our good bullpen pieces, get some cheap bench depth.

I still just think of that near 3-run homer TDA hit in game 5.

We win that game and the series if that ball travels like 3 more feet.

I'm seriously so bummed. When we went up 3-1 in the series, I just knew that the dodgers weren't gonna win three in a row. Should have fricking known better.

Acuna, at the lead off spot, really killed us this series.

We just make things so hard ourselves. Did all year. Instead of taking care of business throughout the game, how many bottom of the 9th/top of the 9th games did we win?

Anyway, bottom line is we need more depth in starting pitching. I know I'm bouncing around a lot, as there's a lot of things to gripe about
