Any chance we pick up DJ Lemahieu or is he a lock for getting a qualifying offer from the yankees?

Only thing is I know he would be looking for 20M+ & it would be more beneficial to spend that on pitching

Lemeheiu would be ideal for this team. They need some contact to go along with all the swing and miss we have. Him or Michael Brantley.

Yep that reads like “We want Ozuna, but we won’t pay for him”

And it is also worth noting that the Braves Double-A ballpark, where he and Pache spent most of last year, is extremely cavernous.

I don't know where you got the idea that Trustmark Park is cavernous. The dimensions are almost identical to Turner Field and AFCS. 330'-332' down the lines and 402' to CF.

It’s not the size of Trustmark, it’s the swamp air, as the park sits in the Pearl River Bottom.

Passan said today that the Freeman extension is inevitable and he expects something like 6/150. That would be below market value but nothing crazy.

Dodgers struck out 15 times tonight, meanwhile they are still fouling off two-strike pitches off of Chris Martin.

I'm in a dark place.

It’s kind of what did us in in game 7. Martin threw 30 pitches the day before and he wasn’t on at all.

I don’t know what Snit’s plan was, but I was hoping Matzek and Minter could’ve given us multiple innings so we weren’t forced to pitch Martin but the Dodgers did what they do best and drove the pitch count up on all our pitchers.

Imagine waking up this morning and being 2 games away from our first title in 25 years

Yeah I'm still salty AF about losing the NLCS

had we lost 4-0 or 4-1 we all coulda walked away and said hey " what a great year" finally won NLDS and made it to NLCS for first time in 19 years.

instead when you get this close you feel differently. you view it more as a wasted shot because we blew a 3-1 series lead against a great dodgers team. we coulda won it all this year even with pitching deficiencies.

you are either getting better or worse. see wtf AA does but i have zero faith in him or ownership. from what i have heard from jays fans he is not the guy to get us over the top/hump.

Blue Jays loved AA. The only mistake he made was trading Thor for Dickey. He got rid of Vernon Wells who had one of the worst contracts in baseball. He was very aggressive in trades and turned down a 5 year extension with the Blue Jays.

I believe that trade still haunts him and is why we hold onto pitching prospects until they have no value left.

The Dodgers were a bad matchup for him because they didn't chase his slider down and out of the zone. He's not effective if the other team doesn't chase that.

Based on previous years, I guess we have earned the right to lean this way in interpreting AA speak, but in this specific scenario I’m not sure what else he is supposed to say. He has no idea what his payroll is, or even if we are going to have a place for Ozuna. If there’s no universal DH next year, it’s not even worth discussing. But, let’s say that even that is a done deal right now. How is he supposed to walk into negotiations with the best free agent bat of this year if he’s already all but promised the fans publicly that he’ll resign him?

Sounding like DH may not be in play until 2022 for the NL
