Lol so we just got gaslit by the media with the Ian Anderson stuff

Are they really going to trot Bryce Elder out there tonight?

I can see how they talked themselves into Bryce in Petco.

He can't face their lineup more than one time through. I still have nightmares of how he just completely melted in Philly last year once the lineup got back to the top.
I think he perfect or close to it for the first three innings.

No Sales or Schwelly for this series. Need a little luck.

Elder one time through the lineup
AJSS one time through the lineup
Then let the pen go as long as they can

13 pitchers, as I suspected.

Going from Anderson to Elder to AJSS has me on a roller coaster of emotions not unlike game 1 yesterday.

I'm in the camp that AJSS is by far the least of three evils when compared to Anderson and Elder.
AJ's fastball at least plays at the big league level.
I still have high hopes for him for 2025 and beyond, maybe not as a starter though.

I mean, it's not even up for debate that Ian and Elder have below average fastballs, which is a big reason for their struggles, despite one having an elite changeup and the other having really good command on the majority of his pitches.
That's not to say AJSS is going to pitch well today, but pitching at this level (and any level) begins with being able to get your fastball over the plate and not have the opposing hitters beat the frick out of it when it is over the plate. AJSS at least has that going for him.
