I think that's unfair. Since he came into the league, Julio Rodriguez is the only everyday CF that has had a higher WAR than him (Judge is not a CF).
While it would be nice if his bat took a bigger step, if he remains the hitter that he has been thus far in his young career, he is still an auto-start player.
With that said, he was awful at the plate this weekend.

One solution is to not let him bat at all.

Everyone was bad last year before the injuries piled up, and I tried to make that point when people told me we just needed to get healthy. So I, for one, am not surprised at this start, though it is admittedly even worse than I imagined it would be.
I think Riley can truly hit. He will always be streaky, but will be more good than bad. And Ozuna, I suppose, is still good. Never know for sure with him, but I expect he'll have another good year. I don't feel the same way about all of the other streaky hitters in the lineup, who just seem to keep developing worse and worse habits at the plate.
I don't know what to expect from Ronald when he comes back, because he couldn't catch up to fastballs last year. I hope it was a glitch, and that he'll get back to normal eventually, but that was staggering to witness how he repeatedly got beat. People talk about us missing Murphy, but he hasn't been a good hitter since the first half of '23. I want to believe he can get back to at least what he was in Oakland, where he was solid, but I really don't think he's just in a slump. I think he's just not a very good hitter, and that trading Contreras looks worse every day. But then, every Braves fan must think that by now.
But hey, at least we fired a bunch of assistants who's fault it clearly was for last year's struggles. Couldn't be that the team has assembled too many free swingers, and that we did well to succeed for as many years as we did.

I'm old enough to remember a posiBrave saying they wouldn't trade MH2 straight up for Julio Rodriguez lmfao

I think this was related to whatever knee issues he was having in the spring.

Rumors out there that Profar is looking at a pretty lengthy suspension. Lovely.

Behind the scenes, I hope they are exploring every possible avenue to void his contract.

Not that he could have foreseen this, but more egg on the face of AA that his only meaningful off-season signing is now out half of the season. Saves money, at least.

Yes,the Braves need to pinch every penny.
Their revenue was slightly under $674 million last year
