I love Bauer. He's a hell of a pitcher. Weird, quirky dude but very few pitchers work harder to get better than he does.

He hit a 2R homer to pretty much ice it. Postseason is all about moments.

I do love the fact that we've buried that stupid "keepers of the game" reputation we had with McCann and have turned into this fun showboating team now, whether it was the Donaldson umbrella last year, Ozuna selfies and Acuna just being unapologetic for being a baseball God.

@Reds fans: I love you all. Thanks for an amazing season! Wish you could’ve been at the ballpark!

Braves fans: Seems like y’all hate me and I wouldn’t be embraced here! What a shame... ??

Astros fans: LOL, why are y’all here? Stay mad.

I do appreciate Bauer's troll game.

The only "fans" I don't like are the one's who never shut up with their stupid saber metrics. They don't even seem to care about winning and losing. They care about whether the "metrics" say somebody was doing the right thing.

"He went 4-4, but his BABIP was 1.000, so a decline is inevitable tomorrow. And that bunt single had an exit velocity of 5MPH, and a hit probability of 20%. Should have tried to hit a homer, instead. Bunts don't score runs (except when they do), home runs do (as if hitting a home run is just as easy as deciding to do it)". I can scarcely enjoy a baseball conversation anymore, because so many now think they've got sports all figured out with subjective numbers, and they want to out smart each other, rather than just say "wooo! we won!".

I’m guessing he is just being a troll. 95% or so of braves fans are posting how much they want Bauer next year, regardless of price. If he wants to get butthurt over a small minority that make fun of him chopping, then I guess he can enjoy dragging y’all’s rotting corpse of a lineup to another 3rd place division finish

It's not like Braves fans are obnoxious or anything, he's obviously trolling.

We're probably one of the most neutral teams in baseball outside of the NL East when it comes to how other fan bases view us.

Now, if you're some too cool to root for the Braves person who lives in the South, that's probably different.

When I lived near DC I would go to every Braves game. Even the getaway games.

Had a Nationals fan sitting near me tell me one night that the Braves have the worst fanbase in baseball.

I told him that he obviously watched no baseball prior to the Expos relocating.

meh. everyone was striking out. if he repeats the same performance while hitting a big time homerun and throwing a runner out at 3rd, then he can stay in the lineup as far as I'm concerned. Did he strand a bunch of runners on base during his strikeouts? I don't think he did but I'm not really sure.

Welp looks like we are playing the Marlins. I have no doubt we are better but I’m afraid they could small ball us to death.

So...

Fried vs Alcantara
Anderson vs Sánchez
Wright vs Lopez

Unless they pitch Lopez in game 1.

The good news about playing the fish is that they don’t have a true ace. That said, they have 3 really good pitchers. Sánchez is on his way but he has some things to tighten up.

Fried > Alcantara
Anderson = Sánchez
Wright < Lopez

Despite all I said above, anything can happen, but I think winning game 1 is crucial. Fried vs Alcantara is probably the biggest pitching mismatch in our favor that you will see throughout the playoffs. Losing game 1 would be bad news.

I know Eric Gregg is dead now, but does he have a son?

If so can we lock him up for the length of this series?

Livan Hernandez, too.

Braves-Marlins playoff series will trigger my PTSD.

If they break out their "throwback"* unis from 1997 for the NLDS I will drink until I black out.

*No team that new should have throwbacks, but they have rebranded themselves about half a dozen times in their short existence.

To address your edit, I was mad at Livan Hernandez for the longest time. I saw him signing autographs at Nationals Park before a game and it pained me to even walk within 100 feet of him, but our tickets were on the 3rd base side where he was signing.

I was pissed when the Braves signed him for that one season.

I'm not even mad at him anymore. He and his catcher saw they were getting the calls and took advantage of it.

But I hope Hitler is shoving pineapples up Eric Gregg's arse in hell for eternity.
