In what world does Max Fried help the Yankees window when he hasn’t done a thing to help the Braves in their window? It’s been 3 seasons since he’s done ANYTHING of note to help his team win.

So you’re agreeing with me that the Phil’s and Mets have done nothing in this window. When you have to spout off getting bounced to bolster an argument that’s just funny. Same as when you laud Chris Sale for winning an award while sitting in street clothes as his teams season comes to end.

I think his career in NY will go very similar as it did in ATL. He’ll have some seasons where he misses chunks of games and he’ll also have seasons where he’s healthy and finishes 2nd and 3rd in the Cy Young.
The fact that he has missed big chunks of two consecutive seasons with arm/elbow issues is a giant red flag to me. Even though he has already had Tommy John, it seems like a ticking time bomb for him, unfortunately.

Ha ha. Name calling is all you have. Your points are easily proven ill advised and you simply can’t handle it. It is fun to read what you type though as laughs are always good to have,

Yeah, pretty much a matter of time on TJ number two with the forearm tightness issues two seasons in a row most likely. Throw in his poor postseason stats and I wouldn't want to touch a long-term deal with him.

Are we allowed to trade the comp pick we’ll get?

You can’t trade picks

In my years of watching the sport the Yankees have sure made some terrible moves, but they’ve also had more than their share of success and they done appreciably better than the Braves as far as winning World Series.
With that said, the Yankees certainly think that Fried will help them enough to sign him to a pretty substantial contract. I’m sure they’ve examined his performance over the last several seasons far more than any of the posters on this board have, seen his medical records, etc.
Obviously the Braves can’t afford to hand out multiple huge Free Agent contacts like candy or absorb deal like Stanton’s like the Yankees and Dodgers do.

Yah, outside of the competitive balance picks that the Braves will never get one of.

They saw Rodon's medical records too, didn't stop that from being an idiotic signing so far. You ignore warning signs in pitchers for long term deals at your peril.
But as you say, the Yanks are better able to eat the contract if things go south, so not as big a deal for them.
Hopefully for Max's sake his long term deal with the Yanks turns out more like Gerrit Cole rather than Rodon. He's always seemed like a good dude, so hopefully it goes well for him.

Interested to see what our first move will be this offseason. Sounding more and more like it will be a trade for an OF.

Trade JSS to Baltimore for Cowser or (as a razorback I prefer this) Kjerstad.

Instead, AA became obsessed with extending the playoff window by letting the vets walk and made big swings at bringing in younger guys that had high upside on long term deals.
He outsmarted himself and it has kind of backfired.
All they had to do was simply sign Freddie for just a little bit more money...

Just stop dude.

So back on track, Braves still need:
Left Fielder
Short Stop
1-2 starting pitchers
1-2 relievers
Catcher
AA has done jack shite this off season.

He typically doesn’t do very much. For better or for worse.
