who's the leader of this clubhouse among the position players? this lineup is catatonic right now
It's a mentally soft franchise with too many nice guys. This has been an issue for a long time.
The last time the Braves won a playoff game when facing elimination: 2018 NLDS Game 3
The last time the Braves won a playoff series when facing elimination at any point in the series: 1996 NLCS
They fold like a cheap suit when things get tough. Joc brought something to the 2021 team that they haven't replaced.

Mahle with another good outing. Offense Just not there.

Random thought: What do y’all think of Dyland Dodd being used in a starter role if push came to shove? I’m talking 2 starters going down end of the season and we’re in a spot.

Dodd was bad as a starter when he tried it before

I don't think he would be markedly better or worse than any of the other losers we are penciling in around Sale right now, but who knows?
His biggest plague during his first foray as a starter was that his stuff wasn't good enough to consistently get guys out, particularly the second time through the order.
Like I've said before about him this season, he deserves a shite ton of credit for reinventing himself as a reliever. I thought he was dead in the water a year and a half ago.

Minter (who we could've gone after instead of Brent Suter) just shoved it up the arse of the top of our order.
Fantastic job AA.

Also, it's hilarious how OP was celebrating this as our "postseason lineup" like it meant something different.
The final four hitters in the order all had an OPS below .700 entering today, that's including Sean Murphy's OPS below .300

This team is so fricking fraudulent.

Fuentes is talented, but his problem is command.

Meanwhile, the lead is about to drop to 5.5 games. Knowing we will go nowhere in the playoffs, I “almost” hope for an implosion from the starters and we miss the playoffs altogether if it got rid of AA in the process.

Gaudin noting our lead down to 5 1/2 after another Philly win

Look at the post above you. We've got sycophants and bootlickers already trying to suck AA's dick, saying he did a good job at the deadline.
AA knows he has job security. He's been asleep at the wheel the second Freddie caught the final out in 2021 and we still have fans now still trying to parade him as one of the best GMs in baseball.
He's not going anywhere unfortunately.

The Phillies just swept this Twins team and we're on the verge of being swept by them.

Just a thread title. You can come up with the next one. Might as well play HSK at this rate. Barf.

I would say Lane Thomas fits right in with this club.
