Feel like no one has mentioned the craziest rule.
A field goal being 8 points in final 3 minutes. Holy shite.
A team could go from down 16 to tied in 10 seconds after a score quick turnover and another basket

so getting fouled on a 3 pointer at the end of the game could actually cost a team 8 points? That's awesome

Yep. Imagine you have a team at -12 and they have a 20 point lead with 10 seconds left in the game. Pretty safe bet in America! But not in North Korea, especially when Kim-Jong-Trifecta hits the "oh, by the way" buzzer-beating shot from behind the 3-point arc that counts for 8....and since he swished it it counts for 9 and your team fails to cover.
