really interested in the St Aug vs STM series. I certainly could see an upset there, I think it goes 3 games and STM pulls out a close one in game 3
Checking that out tomorrow.
Games 2 & 3 if necessary.

Sam Houston gets no hit and wins 3-1

Sam Houston does it again. WM has an error in the 7th. Then a walk, 2 out base hit scores 2. Sam Houston wins 5-4. I believe WM had 25 strikeouts in the e 2 games. HBP/Walks/Error made up every run they got. They hit 2 balls hard the entire series. Idk if that means they will destroy everyone when they hit or if the ball just bounced their way this time. That’s baseball.
I’ll tell you this. They die hard. They don’t ever make a mistake, fundamentally sound in every way. They hang that shovel of an arm plate over the plate and lean into anything close. Classic Lake Charles baseball.

Was watching the game on game changer, brutal way to lose, especially with 2 outs and he shoved the first two pitches down the batters throat only to have him hit the walk off double 2 pitches later.
Sam Houston is a damn good team and would not be surprised to see them in the semi finals.

First things first: yall have a heck of a program and congrats on a successful season.
Next up:
We scored 3 runs off HBP but ill fill everyone in on the whole truth. 1st game- Roark drills Harvey in the head, ends up scoring. 2nd game- Ferguson drills Oustalet in the head, ends up scoring. The “shovel” isnt worn on the dome, silly. You must be upset about Walkers elbow guard, although he was HBP 3 times, only 1 run resulted and that was Keiser(pinch runner) scoring from 1st on a hit and run fly ball to right that should have been caught. So the “shovel” excuse doesn’t play. Here’s what does:
If you bring in a closer for the 7th inning both games, you probably win both.
1st game-3 runners thrown out trying to steal second. Gotta know who has the best catcher in the state. Its not barbe.
2nd game-3 different innings the lead off guy gets on but next guy cant get the bunt down. 19 years old-no excuse for it. Our 7th inning, 3-1 count squeeze was executed by a 15 year old freshman in game 1.
Two balls were hit 10 ft shy of the 355ft sign in left center but we definitely didnt hit the ball as well as usual, credit to both of WM pitchers for limiting us. We have 337 hits, 22 HR’s thru 38 games, so we had to fight like hell when the bats were getting cold.
The walk off ball did bounce our way, probably because of the cute walk up song the announcer picked for him. I hope whoever was in charge of the soundboard falls in dog crap in church clothes. Or maybe because it was the 4th time our home run leader (7 on the year) had seen Ferg today, he was due and has had huge playoff hits for the last 3 years.
And for LSU777- yes im back, shut it. See yall in Sulphur.
One last note- 4 of our starters cant drive yet. Game 1 pitcher is 15. Game 3 pitcher and closer(if they were needed) are also 15. SH is going to be good for a while.

Congrats to Sam Houston. They beat West Monroe 2 in a row on the road. West Monroe just did not have the “it” factor this year. Of course they lost some big bats last year. The run for Rebel baseball is over.

West Monroe always has excuses for everything. Congrats to the Broncos for going on the road and winning two straight., West Monroe coach said the Broncos could celebrate all they want after game one, you still have to win two out of three, Broncos listened.

I saw that.
They were hitting up my inbox after I sided with Barbe in the lineup card dispute a couple of years ago.

They don’t want none of you big dawg!

West Monroe pitcher who threw Friday is 19. It’s amazing how many 19 year olds they have had over the years.

I saw that Rummel got swept by Curtis last night.
Anyone know what is going on with Rummel program?
I thought Cazeaux coming aboard a few years ago would make them a contender year in and out.
