So Holy Cross is now 16-0… they beat John Curtis yesterday. are they really a contender to win the Catholic League and knock off Catholic for state? I’ll hang up and listen

Catholic League contender, yes. Only Karr and Easton won't contend, though.
Contender for state, I don't think so. Curtis is the first real comp they've seen. Curtis pissed that game away. Too many mistakes and it was still close. I think Curtis will beat them tomorrow.
And that's not shade against Holy Cross. I think they're a good team. But, I want to see how they go through the district.

Hard to believe West Monroe is currently 28th in the power rankings. They will obviously move up, however they need to start clicking in the next few weeks.

Agreed, but very shortly all of their losses will be worth more than most teams' wins. Zero bad losses on the resume so far. WM squeaks out a 2-1 win over ASH tonight at ASH. Just not seeing the ball real well at the moment. Ferguson gets another win going the complete game in around 80 pitches. Host Captain Shreve tomorrow night then ASH Saturday.
ETA: Also Geaux Preps hasn't updated their out of state games. I found at least 7 more wins that haven't been added as far as opponents W/L.
