It seemed like after he hit the shot that was “lost,” fans ran to gather around a spot where the ball was. How exactly was the ball lost? Even the announcer said the ball was located. Or am I missing something?

I understand the temp obstruction and relief but shouldn’t you have to find the ball? Find ball, get relief. Don’t find ball and regular lost ball rules apply. Stroke and distance.

On the Sky broadcast they had someone on that said because of so and so reason he doesn’t have to find the ball in that case
