At the very least, they need to remove the automatic byes for conference champs and just turn it into automatic berths into the playoffs.
Top four seeds would be Oregon, Georgia, Texas, and Notre Dame/Penn State and the first-round games would be much more entertaining.

Bro, they are never going to shrink it.
I do think the on-campus thing was somewhat overhyped. The crowds are decent, I guess, but you're going to get some crap games in the north right before Christmas.
