There was a 228 page thread on the Masters last month and 29 page thread on the PGA Championship but you're right. There's a combination of reasons why the PGA Championship has sucked. It's a blowout by a boring golfer nobody cares about and the tournament is happening in the middle of May when there's a ton of other major sporting events going on i.e. Preakness Stakes, NBA Playoffs, NHL Playoffs, FA Cup, etc.. But you're kidding yourself if you don't think Eldrick missing the cut isn't a major reason why nobody cares about this tournament.

Also, the Masters is one of the few golfing events (maybe outside of the Ryder Cup) that’s really pushed to mainstream sports fans. It’d be unfair to compare threads even if Tiger wasn’t competing.
