11 year old kid finds a golden ticket? What are the odds he has a piece-of-shite lay-around grandfather that suddenly remembers how to walk too? I’ve seen how these things go.

Livvy Dunne, Skenes' girlfriend, has said she'd let the cardholder sit with her at a Pirates game if they forked it over.
Livvy has been reading too much Larry Leo if she thinks someone is passing up a potential six or seven figure payday just to sit next to her for one game.

Yeah you would pay 15.6% in eBay fees for that.

Is this some sort of new lottery system where you can pull an awesome 1:1 card and be set for retirment? How can I participate? I am guessing that packs you can pull from packs at Wal-Mart and GameStop probably wont do.

Sell it and put that money in a savings account for after he graduates high school. Tuition, home, car, etc all set up and ready to go.
Orrrrr....
You can go watch sub .500 baseball for 30 years.

You buy expensive packs with a 99.9% chance of getting absolute skunked and losing 95% of your money
Some people will pull nice cards and might break even or make money
1, will pull the 1/1 Skenes
It’s basically like playing the lottery, but with a little better odds, but also a higher get in price to have a chance at the grand prize.

Probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. “A” game? She seems insufferable based on just that.

I don’t get the hate on this. She doesn’t have to do this at all lol
You expecting to sit in a suite with Livvy for a full season?

I’d tell the Pirates organization to kiss my cheeks with that sorry offer. You either give me the true value amount of money or they aren’t getting shite.
And the Livvy offer is just laughable

No but she thinks offering something as weak as to sit next to you for one game as part of a deal is an incentive to pass up a multi-million dollar payday.

pirates paul skenes card
Auction houses -- including Goldin -- have been desperately trying to be the arbiter of its sale ... believing it could net a life-changing fortune.
The Pittsburgh Pirates, meanwhile, have offered two tickets behind home plate for the next 30 years -- plus a whole bunch of other goodies -- for it.
Did they just feel obligated to offer something? Hmmm life changing money or season tickets to a crappy franchise that you don’t live anywhere near? Tough call
Posted on 1/22/25 at 8:07 am to BilJ
Yes, how about I take the life changing money, and if I want to, I’ll just buy my own season tickets.

she just responded to the orginal pirates tweet with what they were offering to add something and get in on the fun/support it on social media. it's really not a big deal and she does not fricking want an 11 year old to pass up a million dollars to go to a game with her.
