He’s won’t be able to play for years.

No one should trade anything for him, and then pick him up for nothing in a few years when he’s allowed to play again.

why the FBI? seems ridiculous. Does Watson have some kind of super powers the locals can't handle?

They suck and don't care if he's taking up cap while not playing, so why would they sell at a discount?

Heard a lawyer on radio say he'd have a minimum two and a half years in and out of courts.

Why would a team give up that much to get a guy bogged down by so much legal issues. Would not make that trade

I mean i would rather wait it out and let the legal stuff sort itself out than leave 3 first round picks on the table because you sold at the nearly the lowest his stock can get

They aren’t trying to win a Super Bowl this year, so I don’t see any reason for them to be in a rush to trade him unless they got paid what his value was before all the stuff, or closer to it.

Because if he wises up and settles his cases the team gets an under contract 25 yr old franchise QB. Whether it'll be a recidivist issue, who knows.

They can “want” all they want to.

I'd ask for the same if someone called.

No point in trading him if his value is bogged down by the off the field stuff, don't sell low.

So I'd keep the ask as is, if you don't want to pay it, no biggie.

I could be wrong but I thought the FBI came in to investigate the other side, either the girls or the girls' lawyer,no?

And other teams can “want” to get Watson for pennies on the dollar all they want to as well

If you're the Texans just hold on to him and tank.

He’s under FBI investigation?

I’m pretty sure the accusers (not all of them) are under FBI investigation

Is any GM stupid enough to pull the trigger on this? I’d guess maybe the Raiders

This is why Houston is the franchise they are.. A pro team is built from the top down..

Interstate activity in commerce (internet solicitation and Watson is alleged to have paid for and flown a girl over State lines) - so FBI jurisdiction.

Liberal DAs and judges will be able to work something out.

If Houston trades him for scraps and then 2 seconds later he settles the case (which he reportedly has had the option to do for months and hasn’t taken it) and just gets a 6 game or half season suspension you’ll be here calling them idiots for letting a franchise QB leave for nothing

There is no rush to trade him. Thus why the trade demand is so high.
