ULM's lack of success has nothing to do with not playing Tech. Playing Tech every year would have helped attendence somewhat, but it wouldn't have done anything with the lack of foresight in seeing that playing as an independent for 7 years would destroy the program. Your giving Tech too much credit as usual.
By the way, ULM plays in 2 weeks on ESPM2 against Ark St. If they beat FIU this Sat I expect a decent crowd in 2 weeks. Probably not as good as Tech's crowd tonight. But we'll see. The people of Monroe suck.

All I saw last night from tech was victory. They manhandled hawaii. hawaii avg 500 yrds passing a game so far, held to 300 and no tds.

No shite. frick NLU. They have had penis envy over Tech for years. Tech has better athletic programs, better academics, Ruston is a way nicer town than that shithole Monroe. Tech wants to be a better university in every area. So if they want to play other schools than NLU i'm all for it. Playing NLU is not helping Tech gain anything. And I'm pretty sure Tech is not afraid to play NLU.

i wonder if anyone sees that being in the WAC IS a bigger deal than the Sun Belt...i think that's why louisiana tech is on the upswing. when good teams are in your conference, the rest of the teams get televised more too

Old and dead is right. I've been saying this whole thread...I don't see xiv's argument. With last night as evidence, Tech is doing JUST FINE not playing ULM. The crowd and jumbotron looked fantastic on the TV.
ULM needs to think of another way to improve their program other than "we need to play Tech."

This thread can die now. Last night proved that ULM needs Tech more than Tech needs them. A tech/ULM series wouldn't average anymore than the 20,000 Tech is averaging right now at the Joe. frick ULM.

yeah thats been discussed ad nauseam. However if Tech were to schedule a game in Birmingham against Alabama, in which Tech was the home team, you'd be all over Tech's nuts about having to pad attendance figures. I digress though, this thread is about the future yet you keep referencing last year. Fact is, Tech is and will continue outdrawing ULM, so Tech has no reason to schedule them.

I'm sure all the LSU guys here can agree that this is probably THE most pathetic thread in the history of all college football message boards. NLULM fans are actually coming to DADDY (LSU) to whine and cry about the big blue bully 30 miles to the west. This makes my day! This is exactly why ULM is worthless. Have fun being one of the shittiest 1A programs in the country again! When will you ever have a winning season in 1A to begin with? Oh, and if it weren't for Arkansas giving you guys fake "home" games all the time, you would be back down with the likes of Nicholls and Southeastern, where the Bitch-Hawks of Funroe belong.
