Actually Tech had a decent crowd for their opener against NSU - 19,400.

Its not that bad they'll play Ole Miss in Jackson to make it look better

If Grambling* wanted Tech to play at Grambling for a one-and-done, and they offered Tech the same amount of money that Tech offered ULM for their one-and-done, what do you think Tech would say?
I don't think Tech needs a game with Grambling to revive interest in our program. We need more fans, but playing Grambling wouldn't get it done.

How is Tech not in a position to demand a one-and-done with ULM when...they're demanding a one-and-done with ULM? They have USM, Houston H-H for the next 4 years. They're fine.
Their games with USM and Houston have nothing to do with this. Why didn't they offer USM or Houston a one and done in Ruston? If they did, do you think USM or Houston would have signed that deal? Absolutely not. So why should ULM agree to it? ULM doesn't need it any more than Tech does. But they both would benefit with a renewed rivalry, playing home and homes from here on out. My point is, LSU can sign Tech, ULL, ULM, etc. to one and dones, but Tech is not in the same position. No school equal to them would do this. In their minds they think they are close to the level of LSU and try to treat ULM that way.

When you don't have a valid argument, resort back to referring to 10 year old names. It was a proud name, but gone for a decade now. Do you feel bigger/more elite for having said this?

Until ULM can draw enough fans to meet the NCAA minimum w/o having to schedule an away "home" game. They might have to sell tickets for 50 cents to get the bodies in the seats tho.

Does this include the number of times xiv has posted?
If it includes im going 53
If not then the actual number of pages would have been 5

I really kind of feel bad for ULM... 9k for your home opener at your actual home stadium

I'm on your side as far as the Tech - ULM series is concerned. But, dude, I'll give ULM and ULL shite forever because of those stupid name changes. It was sort of embarassing for both schools. But, anyway, frick Tech.

I would rather them haven't changed names. But what can you do. I got over it as soon as it was done. I was actually a trainer there in 1998-2000 when it all went down. We did have a bit of an identity crisis for a while. I think in the long run it will be better for both universities. The most embarrasing part of the whole name change situation is coming from ULL and their desire to be called just Louisiana. It is funny how no one will cooperate with them. I liked how ESPN had UL-Lafay on the screen last night. I'll bet that really burned them up.
Oh yeah, frick TECH.

I agree. By the way, do you think ULL is "going in the right direction"?

True? If so,
They'll have to schedule MI as a home game to get the 100k boost to their attendance.

9,000 was the count of tickets sold not "butts in the seats".... that was more like 6,500. They need a Tech game very, very badly. I ALMOST feel sorry for them, but the fans like xiv makes it hard to.
