Texas is playing a lot better. They thoroughly kicked our arse last week

Mississippi State/Alabama is going to be the national championship game.
Unless State puts a 40-spot on Ole Miss, Baylor or run-the-table Ohio State is getting in before them.

Baylor gets in over TCU if they win out, IMO.
Florida State drops a game.
Ohio State isn't getting in.
State will still be in the top 4 after tonight.

Ohio State/Wisconsin might be a top-ten matchup when all is said and done, the way voters vote. They win big there, it could matter, especially since State will watch the SECCG at home.
I also don't think FSU loses.

i think FSU loses in about 3.5 hours

This is why the BCS was invented, to elimated human factor, but you cry babies didn't like that either. They on,y way to truly find a champ is a FCS style playoff.

I am curious what the committee does with them. If you are going to move them way up based almost solely off of their ability to run up the score against non-existent defenses, then logically you have to drop them dramatically for a 4 point win over Kansas.

Good question
Alabama - 14
Arkansas - 13
ETA:
Pretty sure Kansas State had a good Defense.

I still think the committee is taking 4 conference champs if possible and trying to spread it across the country to keep interest and $

I think if TCU and Baylor both win out. TCU will get in over Baylor. Just IMO
I also think Ohio State drops one and FSU does too
And Arizona State beats Oregon and they get in.

I had zero problem with the BCS. The only people who had problems were "eye test" jackasses who acted like they knew better.
The only thing I had a problem with was how teams like K State were routinely snubbed while Notre Dame and Michigan got their BCS bowl bids.

So why did it put so much weight on the polls?

I'm not sure the Frogs survive Austin anymore than the Bears do Manhattan - & if WVU wakes back up to beat KSU next Thurs, the BXII will perfectly f#%k itself out of the playoff anyway.
But to the OP's point, yeah. It's swell to have a Supreme Court of football, but if it comes to a say, an even-record TCU v Baylor decision, I'd almost trust a machine's cold heart more than an AD from a school from that conference.

based off what?
Baylor will have more T25 wins.
Baylor will have the H2H result.
TCU will have a slightly stronger SoS.

If it was at KSU, I would worry but Bears are dominant at home. Were like 24-1 at home in our last 25.
