Freeman and Coleman were as good together as Gurley was by himself, and Beasley had 16 sacks during the Super Bowl season. They don't get there if they take Gurley instead of Beasley.

Beasley sucked royally besides that, but that one season is more valuable than anything Gurley would have done for the Falcons.

About Bijan: I don't have a problem with the player. I have a huge problem with the position.

And Beasley didn't love football. That was the problem. He was out of the league pretty quick after he left Atlanta.


Also, the year he got 16 sacks was the SB year when the Falcons had big leads on everybody, so the defense could pin their ears back and go. So that number, while high, is a little skewed.
