SBC is consistently top four conference in baseball, so I'm sure that's really attractive for their solid baseball program
Was 7th this year. CUSA was better at both basketball and baseball this year than the Belt.

LOL at the title. You don't need to explain why a school would want to leave CUSA.

Impressive…you’re the most sensitive bot ever.

I am guessing that Louisiana Tech and Louisiana Lafayette are moving to AAC should Memphis make its move.
They've rejected both those schools like 15 times in two conferences. I guess 16 is the charm

Yea no way the American takes either program.

I heard that's pink slip match for the spot in the SEC actually. Aiming too low with the AAC bid

I can't believe I'm gonna drop $60+ on this game to play for 2 weeks max and never touch again.

They seem to have added a lot of game modes I'm excited for it. Put in way too much time on the other one.
I would play the frick out of a remastered mvp college baseball also

You bet your arse I’m watching ULM Tech over whatever LSU game is on that week and that’s a rare occurrence.
You’d watch ULM-Tech over LSU-Bama?
Posted on 6/21/25 at 12:57 pm to turnpiketiger
Yep
At minimum I’m flipping back and forth but my priority would be ULM-Tech

In 1995 CUSA had University of Cincinnati, DePaul University, Louisville, Marquette, Memphis, Saint Louis , Southern Miss, Tulane, UNC-Charlotte & South Florida. It was a great basketball conference, and a top mid major conference.

Much of that group were in the Metro conference.
Cincinnati
Louisville
Memphis (State)
Tulane
Southern Miss

CUSA'S WIKI PAGE says they all joined CUSA in 1995. CUSA was a great hoops league when those teams played in it. That was the only time they were really relevant.

The best thing to do would be to show some gratitude IF the Sun Belt schools vote you in without causing drama the day you become a member.
It's only drama because ULM let UL-L get away with it.
That's it. Tech is only standing up for what the UIL won't.

None of us fans stand by what Tommy said.
That was asinine.

Damn right. People in Lafayette think ULM is a joke.
None of us loyal tech alumni that are constantly posting on tech message boards have any hate towards ULM.
UL-L is being bailed out by bonds thanks to the UIL.
Name another UIL school that can overspend on athletics and get away with it?

Conference officials have engaged in conversations with executives at Texas State, sources tell Yahoo Sports, as the two parties work toward a membership agreement that would start in the fall of 2026. While no deal is finalized, this months-long courtship is expected to reach a crescendo this week, when the formal extension of an invitation may be made. The addition of Texas State, a Sun Belt school located in San Marcos, Texas, would give the Pac-12 a necessary eighth full, football-playing member — a requirement by the NCAA of all FBS leagues..
quote:
Texas State’s potential departure from the Sun Belt — if a deal is reached — is expected to set off a chain of realignment moves within the Group of Six conferences. Officials in the Sun Belt, in fact, have already held internal discussion over potential expansion targets in Conference USA, most notably Louisiana Tech and Western Kentucky, according to those familiar with the talks.
quote:
Most programs must give their current conference at least 12 months of notice before any planned exit or risk a larger exit fee. For instance, Texas State’s Sun Belt exit fee is $5 million if the school gives the conference notice before July 1 that it is leaving in July of 2026. That figure doubles in seven days. The exit fee for Conference USA programs is expected to be more than $5 million and as much as $10 million, as it includes two years worth of withheld revenue distribution and a penalty for breaking the league’s grant-of-rights agreement. There is a $5 million entry fee into the Sun Belt — a figure that could be negotiated down at the discretion of the league’s board of presidents. If Texas State is offered a Pac-12 invitation at a full distribution, the school is expected to accept.
