Yes the tiny guy playing bigger than Judge, a guy with a stutter, Correa is nice as can be, and Bregs, well Bregs is a douche but he is only hateable in the sense that he beats your team but he has never really showed his arse.

Josh James was a late round pick. They developed Peacock over the years and made him into a weapon from a career AAA guy. McCullers is homegrown , just hurt all this season.

Two of the biggest metro areas in the country and the Nats have a huge, devoted following. Will be a great series for TV and the numbers will make FOX more than happy

Will not watch a bunch of millionaires play a game and then be shown one group of millionaires cry afterward while the other millionaires take a champagne bath. Our society is lost.

Now I’m off to gripe about unpaid college athletes.

Then dont frickin watch! I'm so sick of this mentality that only the Dodgers, BoSox and Yankees are allowed to play in the world series because casual sports fans wont watch if its anyone else

How many "casual sports fans" are going to watch the World Series anyway? Are they going to tune in for a game? Maybe. But they aren't fricking watching 4, 5, 6, or 7 games.

Outside of metro DC and Htown, I agree that there is minimal appeal nor storyline to keep people tuned in. Should be a great series regardless

My point is, how many casuals would tune in for more than one or two games, even if it was Yankees/Dodgers? They aren't. More people would tune in than will for Astros/Nats, but mostly because NY/LA are two of the largest fanbases in baseball. The casual fans aren't tuning in for an entire series.

I only follow mlb very casually and nothing off field. What's wrong with Bregman?

He’s very good and he knows it.

It’s really the only thing people can have against him. And he’s not even really over the top about it either.

I'm not a huge mlb fan and I can tell you that you need to call Beto today to get your free tampon. You're leaking.

I’m just glad the dodgers choked.

I will be pulling for Washington. I am expecting a fun series.

I don't know about that. I think there is a large contingency of quiet baseball fans that would much rather see two "unpopular" teams instead of Yankees Dodgers. I understand the concept of big market vs small market teams - but the MAJORITY of fans are scattered across the US, not concentrated in New York and LA. My team isn't in it, but I won't miss one pitch of this WS.

And a side note, isn't Houston the 4th largest metropolis in America behind NY LA Chicago? It's definitely top 10. And Nationals are in the capitol city of the USA. There is definitely a media angle for the self absorbed talking heads if they want one.

Washington is the #6 media market in the US, Houston is #7.

These aren't small market teams.

The worst possible matchup would be Kansas City #32 vs. Milwaukee #36.
