Yes, but when the Astros aren't involved I'll usually find another team to cheer on in the post-season.

I just cheer for good games
I hope this series goes 7

Two big makets/teams in the game certainly helps that’s for sure
It coulda been Tampa/Milwaukee or some shite (yawn)

If Tampa and Milwaukee were the best teams, why would it matter about the market?

Other than having to watch games played in that shithole stadium Tampa has

Because i can’t really think of anyone on either team that jumps out to me
Except Yelich but he was hurt

As I’ve said, I’m a big market dick rider.
So my rationale is not at all logical.
Just pull for the big guys

Yep.

Tuesday’s Nationals-Astros World Series Game 1 averaged a 7.3 rating and 12.19 million viewers on FOX, tying Giants-Royals five years ago as the lowest rated opener on record. It ranks as the second-least watched, edging Giants-Royals (12.194M to 12.191M). Washington’s win, which peaked with 14.27 million from 10-10:15 PM ET, also ranks as the lowest rated and least-watched World Series game overall since 2014. From 2015-18, no game fell below a 7.8 or 13.21 million. All-time, it ranks as the eighth-least watched World Series game and is tied as the seventh-lowest rated.

I think OP is missing the point where I care about their ratings. The TV contracts are already set ahead of time based on potential matchups anyway. Fox is willing to risk years like this because of potential yankees/dodgers years.

When people post overnight numbers they always seem to overlook that part

Or they’re fans on one of the teams involved and don’t give a flying frick about the ratings. It’s all relative. MLB gets paid the same, Fox may be slightly disappointed but it’s no big deal

It's another wasted chance to put baseball in front of more people including the children who are our future.....
