I suppose he's just doing his job by lobbying for what's good for his team. It comes off poorly to at least some because OU has not performed well in the BCS bowl games they've made though.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. Yeah, maybe OU isn't the perfect, ideal example. But his general point is correct regarding big programs vs. small and the difficulty of their respective schedules. You're looking at this too narrowly.
