I usually tune in to the Zack Geld (sp?) show on the radio, granted it’s CBS Sports Radio, on the way home. Every day the topic is a quarterback. It could be Tom Brady, Rogers, Dak, even Jimmy G. I don’t know how the ratings are sustained.

Yeah, there was a guy named Zubin or something or other who was on their with them at first, not sure why that ended....never heard or cared, but I think he was an actual journalist at least I think so he had at least some competance in steering the show.
Kellerman is a boxing analyst and has zero experience in the role the put him in and is maybe more unlikable than either of the other two.
The show is just nauseatingly horrible. I used to try to listen on my ride to work because I used to like Mike and Mike.....but I had to just quit cold turkey - it was just that bad.

Who’s the woman doing Sportscenter right now? She wears glasses and just did some tap dance routine with her childhood pic in the background. It was so weird. Her voice isn’t too bad.

Greeny sucks by himself. He and Golic were good morning radio, but Golic alone could keep a show entertaining. Greeny just seemed to whine and bitch about all things New York or Lebron. It was awful.

There used to be a sports cable channel about 40 years ago ( maybe ESPN ?) that used to show this middle aged man going to different neighborhoods and interviewing kids about the sports they were involved in. I think this one group of kids developed a game that was like kickball but the ball was like 3feet in diameter or something…lol.
Then my stepfather would drink quarts of beer and watch boxing matches on the cable channel. Problem was my stepdad thought it was a real fight but in actuality the fight occurred like seven years prior. Lol.

It’s the hit takes shows I can’t stand. Get some actual analysis, some actual discussion, and people would love it.
Or maybe they wontC because we now get great sports analysis borderline on demand through podcasts we don’t have to wait for the shows anymore.

I had to go to the ER a few weeks ago and was there for about 5 hours, while I was there I had ESPN on and this was from about 9-2 during the day, good god was it bad. Every show was total hot takes and talking heads. It was the day Carr went to NO so they had several hours of just that and of course Rogers. The best thing about old school Sportscenter is you saw everything, they had highlights and great plays and you felt you had the pulse of the entire sports world. Now it's just the same names over and over and you would never know anything else exists. PTI has always been great, but it ushered in the talking heads era of sports journalism and most of that is unwatchable. Stephen A and Perkins made me want to step on my IV tube and hope to get a bubble.
