Louisville getting an NBA team makes the most sense to me.
It does to the rest of the state too.
Unfortunately more than a couple times we've been in the running for teams but Jurich, most recently Pitino, and the University of Louisville have thrown epic shite fits about it. Specifically had a clause placed in their rental of the new downtown arena to make it as difficult as possible to share with a NBA team.
They've talked recently about trying to bring one here with a renovation of Freedom Hall (UofL's old place) but I don't see it for capacity reasons.

7, is that it?
Depends on how you look at it. Technically The Jets and Giants play in NJ. Also add the Bills.
I think that Oregon is the only state to have only one of the big 4.

Don't the Redskins play in VA?

I think Birmingham , AL could support a major league baseball team. Wouldn't interfere too much with the college football, and certainly, Alabama would support the team at least as much as either the Rays or Marlins get support.

No the Redskins play in Raljon, Maryland. A suburb of DC

Oklahoma only has the Thunder, right?

"25 of 50 states don't have a pro team" is the stat of the night. If you gave me 3 seconds to guess how many states are lacking a big 4 pro team, I would've guessed 15 or so.
I remember looking at a list of top television markets when BCS conference realignment was a hot topic. Maybe the biggest television market without a team is a good predictor for the next pro expansion.

We really need an NHL team here. Hell, they put the Jets back in comparatively tiny Winnipeg, why not Billings?

Heck of a sales pitch you have there!
The Braves would never let it happen, anyway.

It's crazy to me that Ohio has 6 and many states have 0.
It's crazy to me that Cincy and Cleveland have the good sports and Columbus gets the sports no one cares about.

They have Ohio State. Ohio State >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Any pro sports team in Cleveland or Cincinnati.

Agreed. It's the only city of the three that has produced a winner.

It's somewhat surprising, but when the Browns and Bengals formed I doubt they wanted to compete with Ohio State. And I bet when the Indians and Reds were formed Columbus was the third largest city in the state.
I'll do some research.

You're probably right.
I'd think that if Columbus got a team, they may at first struggle with fans because most people already root for another team, but I could see that changing after a generation or so when people realize that if they're going to root for a crappy team, they may as well root for the one that's close to home.
Or maybe the team would actually be good. That would be something.

There is no way there will be a third MLB or NFL team in Columbus.
The only thing would be relocation, and the only team that would possibly do that would be the Cavs imo.
