That stick chuck was pretty impressive. About as equal as the stupidity of Weber tonight.

So in the west were either going to see a team make it for the first time or one who hasn't made it since 1970

Damn Preds. Rape just ordered a Rinne whistle.

What a shitty finish to a series that has been incredibly even and close. Flat out ran out of gas. Lots of credit to SJ.

Good luck Blues. You're gonna need it.

I like the new blood in the west. Sharks and Blues have choked so much in the last decade it's amazing one of them will make the finals.

I'm rooting for the West winner. TB-SJ final would be traditional market matchup nightmare but probably a very entertaining series.

Yeah, even though house-money I hoped for a good game. Made it through 1.5 frames of Rinne having to stand on his head and peaced out.

Really tough to watch Rinne go out like that. He's played his arse off all postseason and this team simply couldn't keep the pace of the last 30 days. So flat and sloppy tonight. They look completely smoked.

Good for the Sharks. Blues-Sharks will be fun.

If Tampa gets Stralman and Stamkos back the cup is as good as theirs. They have been the most dominate team in the first two rounds despite missig the best player and a blue liner. Lightning destroy Pitt this year and their offense has no answer for Bishop.

Blues vs Lightning in title game. Lightning in six. Book it.

For some reason, I have an unhealthy hatred for Peter DeBoer. He just seems like a total moron.

The Preds had the hardest row to hoe in the conference playoffs (in terms of travel) and I think it may have caught up with them tonight. Rinne looked pretty bad, and the defense that has been the backbone of the franchise for forever looked atrocious.

I'm happy for Joel Ward, though.

Shea Weber needs to be 1st Star for San Jose tonight. Without his stupid plays and penalties it may have been a close game.

Yeah, I was thinking of tee-ing up a rant about how it's tough to travel west, even for a central zone team, but figured I'd just be pummelled by "but Blackhawks" posts. I do think that travel is a beating and takes its toll.

Nashville got cancelled twice last night

Worst game of the season. It's unexplainable. Was a good season, 3rd / 4th in the conference was unexpected.

Disagree to a bit about the expectations. Two 30 goal scorers and a blue line with Weber and Josi. The Preds screwed themselves with a terrible first half of the season. It made the run in February/March seem like they were overachieving when really that's how they could've/should've been playing most of the year.

I'm excited about the young guns in Wilson, Josi, Forsberg, RyJo... Hell even guys like Salomaki have been fun to watch. But it's gonna be tough when Poile has to finally move on from Rinne and Weber.

Last night stung quite a bit because I felt for the older guys. The draw in the west was extremely frickin tough and I'm proud of how they fought time and again in the first three elimination games, especially how they turned Bridgestone into a buzz saw for a few games. We'll be back but we may look different sooner take than later.

Congrats to the Sharks. They've got one hell of a team and I hope they win it all.

What's great about the Sharks winning is that this a team that is supposedly out of its window. Their core is old as hell, and they have come up short just so many times, losing so painfully. Everyone told them to blow it up and that they should build for the future, but they stayed true to their vision and now are being rewarded for it.

Hard not to be happy for a fanbase that has seen some epic meltdowns.
