Yeah I completely agree. The hit looked a lot worse than it was just because Wheeler's helmet came off, and it wasn't even a dirty hit. NHL is so soft now. And that penalty set up the 4 on 4 which Nashville obviously has issues with against the Jets. They scored on a 4 on 4 last game too. Just hate to see bad penalties have such a huge influence on the game. Happened yesterday in the Tampa-Boston game too, refs made a terrible penalty call against Boston and Tampa scored on the pp. Officiating has been pretty bad overall in these playoffs.

None of those goals are on Rinne. His defense looked like they didn't want to cover anyone in front of the net.

Doughty’s hit was suspension and not near as dirty as that. So when they suspend him I’m okay with it. When they don’t I give up because the NHL has backtracked their own precedent.

I'm not a big Caps fan, actually going for the Pens in this series, but no way did Wilson target the head on that hit. If you have to pick the play apart frame by frame and it's still not definitive then that is not targeting the head. Targeting the head should be obvious. Dirty hits are like porn, you know it when you see it. That was two guys going hard and the incidental contact happened because the check rolled up through the body.
I don't want them taking the physicality out of the game, especially playoff hockey. These guys know what they are getting into when they step on the ice. They're not wearing skirts, let's not put skirts on them.
