bradshaw was the epitome of playing with a stacked deck.

Steelers will have 5-7 hall of famers on both sides of the ball eventually.

You could of inserted Jim Hart into that lineup and they win 5 titles.

And the "Bay Area" isn't a fricking city. Did they bastardize that just to include Steph

Ehh I think "Bay area" is appropriate given how all the teams up there are spread out over various cities and have moved around so much.

NYC gets all the pub whenever a team does well and has for 100 years and they still have 2 guys who batted back to back in the 1920's and 1930's on theirs. You can't really make a big argument against either.

Babe Ruth may have been the most famous American of the 20th Century.

John Wayne or Elvis are maybe the only people in American history of the 20th century who matched his fame.

Frankly, they may be the most famous Americans of all time.

Dallas could have thrown in Nolan Ryan maybe instead of 3 cowboys

Aikman over Staubach. Ryan played a lot of years for the Mets, Angels, and Astros as well. I think they are thinking guys whose spent most of their career like over 3/4 with one city.

They should have done Oakland and SF separately.

Oakland could be Reggie Jackson, Ken Stabler, Ricky Henderson and Curry since he played most of his time in Oakland.

SF could be Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Willie McCovey and Willie Mays.

I think they screwed up Minneapolis. George Mikan over Garnett that should not even be up for debate.

Detroit should have had Ty Cobb, Gordie Howe, Joe Louis, and Al Kaline and if you want to have a Lion then Bobby Layne over Barry Sanders.

New York should have had Frank Gifford over Taylor, and Jackie Robinson yes he played in Brooklyn, but they have Taylor and he played in New Jersey.

Yeah Joe DiMaggio is most likely more famous than Mantle. He was married to Marilyn Monroe and he is Mr. Coffee.

There was an article years ago that was very convincing that Staubach could claim GOAT status.

He had years where he was SO FAR ahead to the 2nd best QB in the league in terms of QB rating...in the Dead Ball Era of the 70s. Like he was 102.5 and the next guy was 65.5.

Plus St\aubach is fricking Captain America...the most associated sportsman to Dallas that doesn't involve hookers and blow.

Yep. Spend some time in Pittsburgh and you'll understand why. From the outside looking in, I can see why you'd go with Bradshaw though.

Franco embraced the city and likewise the city embraced him. Bradshaw has always had a dicey relationship with the town and let's face it, back in the 70's, the offense ran through Franco and Rocky Bleier.

Lotta lame picks, including the obvious WNBA nonsense of course....yeah, Rapinoe's girlfriend over The Glove.

But the most glaring (apart from Walt Frazier over Mickey fricking Mantle) is how lame Miami's and Minnesota's is.

Franco was a Pennsylvania hero...PSU.

Knoll didn't even like Bradshaw and the fans didn't like him until after his 3rd SB.

Bagwell or Biggio should be over Altuve

Eh, it's debatable. Altuve already has more All Star appearances than Biggio plus an MVP and two World Series. The only statistical measures Biggio has over Altuve at this point are longevity based.

And I was a huge Biggio fan growing up.
