He has higher upside than pretty much everyone else on that roster. Keep Russell and Randle. Everyone else can kick rocks.

I really don't think it'll come to that. Nick Young won't be a part of this team much longer. This will take a while but will blow over.

Why would Randle want to play with him?

The only way this blows over is he develops in to a superstar next year.

That is none of D'angelo Russell ' s business. He is an immature little punk and a bust for being the #2 overall pick. I don't even like Nick Young but frick D'angelo Russell.

Maybe we just need to trust him to pass the ball and make buckets. Get a few boards and a steal every so often.
Doesn't take much off the court trust to do that.

This is being blown out of proportion.

Article says a gossip site tweeted it.

The conversation they had is pretty standard, a rookie picking a vets brain about NBA life. Recording it is weird but that's D'angelo's generation. I'm assuming he had no part in it leaking, if he did he may be actually retarded.

You have to have at least some level of trust, respect, and camaraderie to be a functioning locker room. That no longer exists for the Lakers.

No use arguing with you if you think it's no big deal.

I can't even comprehend that attitude.

This kinda reminds me of the Tony Parker/Brent Barry situation. It all blew over when the Spurs cut Brent Barry

You're naive if you think things that happen off the court have no bearing on what happens on the court.

Are you new to sports? Or life in general?

Can't have any incriminating discussions (women, drugs, whatever) anywhere near Russell anymore. That has to frick up a locker room.

They're professionals?

Randle is under contract. He doesn't have a choice. He's going to sabatoge his own career and cost himself millions of dollars over this, something that didn't even involve him?

These are not high school girls. In the acute phase of this ordeal there's bound to be bad blood. I give grown professionals (at least the ones that will be a part of this team) enough credit that they'll be able to get past this.

I usually don't say things like this, but what he did is pretty irreparable. Taking a video of somebody saying something personal, knowing it can ruin a part of their lives, and posting it online is something a preteen girl would do. It shows such a lack of maturity I can't imagine why anyone would want that kind of person around.

Take the infidelity out of it. What if overhears the GM and owner(s) talking about trades, business deals, or even moving the franchise? There are things that require confidentiality and trust. Doing what Russell did shows a lack of awareness of such situations.
Exactly. And it was so senseless that it hurts my head to even think about why he thought it was the right move.

Lesser shite has destroyed many a pro-locker room and led to cuts and trades.

Yeah And something similar will happen when Swaggy P is sent elsewhere. I'm sure the Lakers have a really tough decision on their hands deciding between a 30 y/o goofball chucker and their potential franchise point guard lol

The goofball chucker isn't the only one who is freezing Russell out.

It kind of does. Which reminds me that TP is savage as frick and Brent Barry is stupid as frick. There is no way I would have my wife anywhere near a black french guy that can ball like that.

Cuts and trades need to happen with this team anyway. Nick Young's long past his due date. He sucks.

He wasn't picking his brain he was asking leading question and then at the end basically said "I got you".

Everyone will think he leaked or else why did he take the video to begin with?

This situation is worse. Now, not for Barry. He was probably devastated. But for the team, perception of Parker, and the all around understanding of why it happened, that ordeal wasn't as bad as this one.
