Not exactly. He could turn it into a huge PR positive if he wanted, but it would kill his NBA career.
If he came out and said I did it because I am against men cheating on women, and I am for strong relationships and strong family values which have been hurting my community for decades, he could be a hero for women and alot of people
Now like I said though, it would kill his NBA career but would still be great PR

And putting yourself high on that moral pedestal is just asking for trouble. People love to tear people down from there.

At this point the Lakers either need to trade Russell, or everybody else.
I wonder what he could fetch in a trade. He's a decent player who can develop into a solid starting PG so in theory, he'd command a pretty high price. On the other hand, it's now common knowledge to every NBA player that this is a dude who cannot be trusted.
I'd love to get him for his on-court performance, but is that worth the potential locker room strife?

He has higher upside than pretty much everyone else on that roster. Keep Russell and Randle. Everyone else can kick rocks.
I really don't think it'll come to that. Nick Young won't be a part of this team much longer. This will take a while but will blow over.

As I mentioned maybe in the other thread, if he's really good, this will all work itself out as long as he straigtens up going forward.

I usually don't say things like this, but what he did is pretty irreparable. Taking a video of somebody saying something personal, knowing it can ruin a part of their lives, and posting it online is something a preteen girl would do. It shows such a lack of maturity I can't imagine why anyone would want that kind of person around.
Take the infidelity out of it. What if overhears the GM and owner(s) talking about trades, business deals, or even moving the franchise? There are things that require confidentiality and trust. Doing what Russell did shows a lack of awareness of such situations.

Dude fricked up bigtime.

I don't think Russell posted the video, that would be ridiculous.

I agree.
I'd love to buy low on him and bring him to the Pels because I think he could be a good/great player in a few years, but not being able to trust a teammate is pretty much a death sentence for a team sport.

Unless he turns out to be a star he'll have a very short career.

And you have a bunch of guys, some being married, living in New Orleans. Yeah, forgetaboutit!
And, this kid is YOUNG. No veteran is going to trust this dude. That's pretty stupid, imo.

Nick Young is garbage for cheating, but Russell has ruined the early part of his career by letting it be known he cannot be trusted.
And the guy cheating on his fiancé can be trusted? I'd say no. If you can't be loyal to your fiancé or wife why should anyone else think you'll be loyal to them?

Who would you trust more? The guy who cheated on his GF, or the guy who secretly recorded a private conversation between yall and then posted it to FB?
