saying that he has a very long history of being immature based off celebrating on the bench is really rational
I don't believe I said the guy has a very long history of anything. I said I think he has a very low maturity level...that of a 4 year old. You asked why. I told you why I have that opinion of him.

do I start at people committing crime? How about people who continue to fail drug tests? Nah this is much worse than all and is literally the most immature thing any athlete has ever done
Crimes? Are you being intellectually dishonest on purpose? You know exactly what we were talking about when saying immature.

What if she wasn't?

The way you're presenting your case, it shouldn't matter if she's close to you or not, right?
Had a teammate in college like this. I was able to convince him to breakup with her. If he wouldnt that would put me in a tough position. Honestly, I likely would stop being as close of friends. I said I may be irrational, but cheating is something that gets me irate. I cant explain it

The other action is secretly (key word) baiting, recording, and breaking the trust of a private matter and letting millions of people know about it. That tells you the kind of scumbag he is that he can't be trusted at all. You have to question if he's going to record you secretly or tell someone something you told him, etc.

Scumbag is a strong word to use. I don't think he's a malicious person. He just did something stupid, because that's what young people do, stupid things.

And perhaps there's an element of social retardation as someone else mentioned, because most people wouldn't film something like this in the first place. I still don't think that's the same as planning this out because you specifically want to cause harm to someone.

If he plays well from here on out, he'll be good. Teammates and fans can forget a lot of bad a player has done if he balls out.

oh yes that's right. That also sounds very rational

What? You said name other instances that would be more immature than this. How doesn't that apply? How about what happened between Matt Barnes and Derek fisher? Where does that land on the immaturity scale?

then you have to do the same with Russell.
I do. Russell was an idiot and douche for secretly videotaping. Russell is not innocent in all things in my eyes, buy Young is by faaaaaaaaar the bad guy here. But I feel Young will be the one who gets off easier by most people. Which is strange to me

The original comment i disagreed with was you saying Russell didn't make his own bed here.

I don't really see how you can disagree with that, that's pretty straight forward that he did.

Im sorry I did not mean to put it that way. I meant in terms of getting caught cheating, Young made his own bed.

In terms of the video tape, yes Russell made his own bed as well

You can at least admit that this is pretty fricking high on the immaturity scale.

I would in a fricking heartbeat. But I am now friends with her as well. Dont want to be caught cheating? Simple. Dont do it.

BRO. What's wrong with taking the guy to dinner and explaining that what he did isn't fun and games and that he'll lose 2 of the most important things in his life(wife and friend) if he even thinks about doing it again. Or tell him to tell her. You'd just sprint over to their house and tell Lisa that your boy has been stepping out in her? Jesus.

I mean, it's well intentioned and you could argue more noble, assuming it is actually done with nothing but good intentions. But I mostly agree with you.

That being said, my best friend has been my best friend for probably close to 15 years. I've gotten to know his wife obviously, but we're not really close. If he was cheating on her, I'd never tell. But if she was cheating on him, I'd tell him without hesitation.

of course i do. but do i think this is the single most immature thing that has ever happened in the history of sport? no. do i think this will be the definining moment of his career? no. do i think five years from now this will be something that people will still be thinking of when they think of d'angelo? no

it was an incredibly stupid thing to do and he is rightfully getting blasted about it. however, i think a couple years from now, well either all forget about it or just not really think about it and the world and both swaggy and d'angelo will just go on

It is up there for sure. As of right now, Russell is in the conversation for least mature with Matt fricking Barnes

ETA: And even still, you're missing the point. I said Russell acts like a child. Literally, like a child. Crimes and fighting and shite like that is immature, but you know that's not what I meant by immature. Filming teammates admit secrets is childish as all hell. Which helps prove my point. But, you already know that, so tire changing the argument.

That's fricked up and is none of your business. Who willingly inserts themselves in marital drama like that?

I'm not taking up for him by any means but funny how cheating on your spouse isn't viewed as immature

No doubt.

Not even saying it's right/wrong/whatever, that's just what I'd do, and I'm guessing what most guys would do.
