Haha he doesn’t just a World Cup and Omaha thing. Sounds worse than it is.
Just saying that it’s really easy to rack up a shite load of small bets on these apps. Truly like a video game. And college kids are all over it.

I don’t see any team touching him, at least for a couple of years
What would be the point in waiting to sign him? He's going to have the same past regardless, I'd rather my team take the 22 year old gambler than the rusty 25 year old gambler.

Agreed. But I'm sure they felt compelled to continue on with the BS narrative of framing this as a "medical issue" to somehow justify a waiver (or at least absolve Sorsby from any accountability), rather than the reality of a player admitting to breaking one of the last nearly unanimously agreed upon sacrosanct rules...a player can't bet on games in which is team is involved.
In their minds the ends justified the means because not having Sorsby left them with a big hole on an expensive roster. They thought they would garner sympathy by framing it as a medical issues. What they got was the near unprecedented action of their own conference seeking court approval to sanction them.
I seriously doubt Sorsby is/was the only player betting on his team's games. But he, unfortunately for he and Tech, got caught doing it. He admitted it. Sometimes you have to know when to give up the shovel and stop digging. Tech still plays in a turd conference that someone has to win (and get a CFP spot) and their schedule is bad/favorable enough that they may have enough talent to win the conference even without a good QB.

No, in order for him to be put in the supplemental draft he has to be ineligible to play NCAA football. His lawyers will have to go withdraw his case and make him ineligible then he could go to supplemental draft.
