Think about now many female athletes there are in the ncaa over the last 8 years when this crusade all started. How many have gone against a male?
Two things can be true:
People born as male should never compete against women
And
The amount of people that have actually experienced this is statistically insignificant

How many have ever competed against a trans man? My guess is 1,000 at the high end?
That would be .00000027 of the population
