Wilson will almost assuredly be a career backup

Just to clarify my comment was made while he was still playing at Wisconsin. I became sold on him during the preseason.

I've got a claim that I can back up with evidence: Mark Sanchez won a few playoff games too and looked pretty good once too but he now sucks. Before you pop off and showboat about a rookie qb to folks that didn't think he'd be any good how about waiting a few years to see if they actually are consistently good.

Russell Wilson has already shown things Sanchez never did. This season from Wilson was much, much better than any of the 4 seasons Sanchez started.

For those of you that forget Sanchez made it to the AFC conference championship.

If you want to FAP to Wilson go ahead but be prepared to eat it if he ends up not being an all world QB. What would he do without Lynch for example. He's a rookie QB give it a rest.

yeah but he never looked "good" doing it.

He had the occasional big play in the playoffs, but the Jets making it to the AFC championship was in spite of Sanchez

I play Magic: The Gathering with a guy who knows someone who once met Mark Sanchez, and that guy says Sanchez carries a burning hatred for LSU to this day.

I've noticed not that many Gator fans rooting for Peyton Manning and the Broncos this year. So many Orange and Blue Broncos fans last year. What gives???...

Yep. People focus too much on outcome and not enough on process. This is why there is a cult of Tebow and why Sanchez remained a starter for so long. The "he just wins games" argument hurts teams in the long run. Look at HOW games are won ( or lost).

Great example from yesterday is Andrew Luck. The Colts lost, and people will say that he has a 0-1 playoff record new, but anyone who watched that game or this season knows that he was far from why they lost.

I wouldnt feel bad if I was one of those guys who got it wrong on Russell Wilson. The best of them get it wrong all the time. As long as you get more wrong than u get right. I know I thought Matt Ryan and Cam Newton would be busts, wrong so far. Thought Colt McCoy would be good wrong.

You're a dipshit, Plenty of people including "pro scouts" didn't think wilson would be a great NFL qb. It wasn't just LSU fans dipshit. Needless to say alot were proven wrong.

I'm glad I never put my 2 cents in because I probably would have been an LSU homer. Although I never really saw Flynn as an NFL starter.
