I don't think Wilson will last. His stature & his inability to show he's a pocket-passer that can consitsently get the job done will pale in comparison to Flynn's quiet confidence and wonkish knowledge of the playbook with the physical ability to translate that knowledge into the right decisions on the field.

This guy must have some inside info about Flynn's "wonkish knowledge" of Seattle's playbook

Along with Wilson, the running game and defense are HUGE reasons for Seattle's successful season. Who is to say that Flynn wouldn't have been able to get it done as well. Seattle has two very good Qbs imo.

Carroll is involved in personnel decisions in Seattle, and his front office just laid down $25 million for a new QB and he's going to bench that QB before they play an actual game? That is an unconscionably stupid way to run a franchise.

fwiw I'd say 99/100 people would agree with this.

For the record Wilson could still end up having a bad career. 1 season doesn't make a successful QB.

I'll be the one lol.

It was an odd situation. I'm sure they never thought the qb they took in the 3rd round would immediately be that good

But once they realized he would, in my opinion it took real leadership to make the decision to go with the guy they felt gave them the best chance to be successful.

Yep, look at Vince Young

And I'll admit I was an RG3 & RW doubter to start this year

GamecockAlum?

Did you check all of his alter's threads, too? If not, I'm sure someone could help you out with a list of them. I knew about 8 of them a while back but I've forgotten them by now.

That wasn't so bad when you look at it from a business standpoint.

Yeah, hindsight yada-yada.....

Indeed he was.

My favorite was alter #6 or #7, which was named GamecockAlum2. That was hilarious.

Welp, I whiffed on that one

Wilson has been very good the last few games, although he's missed several passes for TD's in this game.
